mick mars tele

hi.

i was wondering if anyone can help me. I saw Mick Mars with a unfinished tele. I think birds eye maple body. It wasn't kramer or fender and i was trying to make out the logo but couldn't . i think it started with an 's' but not sure. anyone know what it is?

No idea. Not Tele fan but I love his mirror finish one. Was a Kramer wasn't it?

You must post a picture. What year ? Album/tour ?

Without seeing a photo,I'm going to go out on a limb and say Ferrington as in Kramer/Ferrington. Dr.Feelgood era. I remember those logos looking like a funky "S" for some reason.
Spectre was also a popular choice at the time. The guys from Skid Row had some cool custom guitars that their guitar tech(who worked at Spectre) put together from parts for them.

i thought the guitar brand was 'sanchez' from the logo but thats a guess. don't know if sanchez is a guitar maker or not

Tracy Grijalva "Tracy G" formerly of WW3, Dio and Epic plays some guitars made by a local luthier in Southern California named Karl Sandoval. Perhaps Mick Mars had Karl make a Telecaster for him?

i would say that the name fits. my wife tells me i am the worst for getting the wrong end of the stick, but that sounds close. not a kramer of fender for sure.
