I could be wrong Dino, it's happened before, but it seems like they are trying to execute a live version of the KISS song No, No, No.

It could also be Crazy Nights.

Ass of smart Vic!!!!

Loved that song back in 87. Had only been playing for a year so I loved the whole "shredness" of it!

Eric's drums sound like poo on that live version though!

When Crazy Nights first came out, I remember Gene saying they had a "thrash metal" song on the album...

It could have been way better. With some harmonies like vv or queensryche would do and some guitar like the verse on full shred they would have a great track. I feel like the energy level is too pedestrian and the chorus doesnt hit you over the head sonically as it should. I think vinnie or michael james jackson would have handed the production better. It needes more no no no's and maybe a big harmony no.

Whats wrong with me!!!!!!

i think the producer wasted a big opportunity. its like its halfway there. I really think if vv had come on board as a writer late on with that song it could have been as big as 'i love it loud' .. just seems like 'that will do' kind of production

I think there's an interview where Ron Nevison said he was never happy with the mix and would love to do it again.

Even though I do like the album as it is, Crazy Nights would kick more ass if it was "beefed" up.

The melody in the No, No, No chorus wasn't bad... it was just the lame ass title and lyrics that ruined it. You can tell Gene rushed it.

With performances like this, they were LUCKY to open for Iron Maiden .
Gene looks worse here than he did on the Asylum tour .

I try not to watch this era too much. This is why.
I dig those Steinberger Guitars but Paul always had issues with them.

Gene got real lazy. No no no could have been a lick it up tune if gene had stepped up his game.

Production / engineering basically sucked in 1987 apart from bands who were not trying to sound modern.
Look at 'bad' compared to thriller... total shit production. Kiss were one of the few rock bands that suffetered ftom 87 syndrome. I think it was because digital mastering for cd was new and people didnt know how to mix or record with it.

Yup, I love KISS, but that song isn't that great.
Not that I could begin to write a song....
The Horizons Bruce used are amazing!
Like Gene's bass, too!
