Band website and news
Ok, the official Mattersphere website is now live, and a big thank you to our very own Streetbeat Sammy for all his hard work in putting it together!
http://mattersphere.com.au
Our single for I Wish That I Could See Into Your Eyes is also available for purchase at cdbaby http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/mattersphere
Should be up on Itunes and some other affiliated sites soon as well.
To go with all this is the news that we have gotten a new, new guitarist! Jason from two weeks ago has been unable to commit time-wise and with luck we have found a potentially very good replacement.
His name is Milan and I actually had a guitar lesson with him back when I could not even play a proper barre chord!! I remember he could play fantastic and used a Jackson soloist.
He's also studied in the US and is very good from what I hear as our drummer is actually friends with him through children at school.
Not sure what gear he's using now but I should find out tomorrow night when we get together.
We have a rehearsal scheduled on Tuesday at the new place where we can record the rehearsal so we aim to record some songs live as demos, like I mentioned before. Hopefully that will turn out ok, though I'm not sure if it's too soon for Milan to be in on that but we'll try and get him up to speed on the songs we are doing.
Boy, there's always something isn't there? It's tough keeping a band together and going and so much harder when we have families as most of us do now.

That's a tight website man! It looks really flashy...oh wait it IS made with Flash...
I'm considering just releasing some singles before I pay 45 euro per album or something to upload it (upload fee + UPC code fee)
Going through some copyrighting and all that legal stuff as well (we had songs stolen from us in the past when we played live
) So make sure you take care of that!!
Copyright is automatic here in Holland and some other European countries (when you create something you automatically get copyright on it) but damn I probably have to register stuff anyways so I have evidence to prove that they're OUR songs
Which in turn is gonna cost more money
Plus maybe paying for a tightass website like yours...
Plus licenses for some cover songs...MORE MONEY
I need to consider the commercial potential of the music
...first 2 albums are hardrock and the 3rd and 4th one we're working right now are more pop metal...will I earn all my money back...
Sorry I'm very influenced by Gene Simmons so forgive my obsession with money
Anyways good luck, you have it harder than me, having families and all these responsibilities, so I really shouldn't complain
Rockers like you and me...all we need is one, JUST ONE Rebecca Black-type of breakthrough...you should find out what kinda money she makes with just that one single

Rebecca Black, oh yeah!!! She did get a lot of exposure though!
For a website send Streetbeat a PM, he's a web and graphics master. He designs our banners and they are fantastic.
Everything is mainly being handled by the singer and his wife who is a lawyer so we're covered. We didn't release the song until it was properly registered and protected.
Good luck with your music, nothing wrong with being commercially successful, we would love that too!!

That's a cool site. Very impressive. Rock on! (I mean Flame on)
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.
