Still amazing, the 3rd and 4th ever live shows from VVI was in front of a sold out Joe Louis Arena.
Tremendous double bill. It's only a shame, they didn't fire George Sewitt and go with Shep Gordon then. Maybe things would have been vastly different for the band if they had a real manager.
Also would have been great if Alice got Vinnie to co-write "Raise Your Fist" instead of Kane Roberts. I think it would have been vastly better. And I know "Trash" would have been tremendously better with Vinnie instead of Desmond Child.
I still think the Nightmare Tour is Alice's best tour. It sucks they didn't shoot the Halloween special on film instead of Video. I'd love a 4K version of that right now.
By the time I got to see Vinnie again with Iron Maiden, they had de-glamed alot. I wish Vinnie wasn't doing a long as solo as an opening act. But hell, Ace Frehley is doing an 8 minute solo or so right now as he's opening up for Alice. Some never learn.

"Vinnie Vincent's short opening set was filled with less fire. His half-hour set mostly featured his loud guitar. The awesomeness of Cooper's following performance made the Vincent beginning quickly forgettable" (Lansing State Journal, 10/29/86)

"The Vinnie Vincent Invasion opened the evening with a half-hour set featuring speed-metal versions of songs from the group's self-titled Chrysalis debut album. Any subtleties of the album versions of those tunes were lost, but the quartet proved to be a more than adequate rabble-rouser to warm up the crowd for Cooper" (Billboard, 11/22/86)
