Our debt hit 16 trillion this month, Most people think its borrowed from China, but that's not really true, most of our and Britain's debt is internal. And really that's actually worse it causes hpyer inflation due to the printing of magic money by the fed...

The UK has doubled its debt in two years ? Not far behind the USA for a small country. I think UK will fall harder thsn anyone as well as italy.

Britain needs to charge wealthy people to visit doctors and hospitals. That may help or.at least.a co pay. I am all for free healthcare for kids and people in low paid jobs but no way should they be paying for millionaires to visit thr doctor.

Australia had a $22 billion surplus in 07, then the "feel good/we'll look after you/big government" party got elected and now we are $40-50 billion in debt (plus $40+ billion for a fibre to the home internet scheme that they keep off the books)!!!!
Oh....and the guy in my avatar, a douche that used the union fees of the lowest paid health workers to buy hookers, spend on air travel, withdraw money from atms etc..... He denies it of course! Even though it's his signature on the brothel receipts, there's a photocopy of his licence at the brothel!!! THIS guy got elected to parliment and is keeping the worst government Australia has ever had in power!

Britian pays 70 billion us dollars a year in interest.. that Australian debt is peanuts. Plus Australia has resources. USA is in a bad way but I fear Britain in much worse as at least USA has more natural resources and companies owned by americans. Most British companies are foreign owned now. i truly think the country is going to fall really hard.

True Dino but also remember that London can house over 1/2 of Australia's population! We haven't that many people here AND the resources boom is slowing!

yeah, i guess. I just have no idea why most countries decided going into heavy debt was a good idea.
If you compare debt to population capita Britain has 3 times more debt than USA. Thats scary..
