I think its misleading that you look at the pics and it says "$4500" and then when you mouse over it then says "$9000, $4500 non-refundable down payment". Whatever. Snake oil salesman comes to mind. Or used car dealer.

What makes him think he's going to sell ONE guitar? Am I missing something?

-No official PR
-No appearance at NAMM 2011; sends wife = No buyers
-Communicates with fans cryptically through Youtube account
-No credibility, unfortunately
-Web site is weak (including NAMM booth photos taken by third party used without permission to promote)
-Recent bad press
-Doesn't respond to questions regarding product
-Terms of payment are unrealistic offering no recourse for buyers
-"No name" company
-"No name" luthier
-Bad ecomony

Remember the terms of use for the VVV guitar form. He had to show it was in used in commerce this year or he would lose his patent protection, if I recall correctly!

I love his playing and that guitar !!!
His first two albums are still in constant rotation at my casa .

O/T- I just hung out with the Vinman last month. I have two of his guitars, a white one and a splatter. They're great instruments and he's still proud of them. I brought him one to sign when he was at the Iridium last month. He still has both prototypes that he plans on passing down to his kids Alex and Dominic. He's happy with Dean though. I used to fight with Sterling Ball about not giving VM an endorsement. That's when I got him over with Dean after he contacted me. A wee bit O' insight for ya...

Naw, you'd get bored from fanboy stories bro. There have been some crazy times though. Like the time George Lynch took off with my wife in his tour bus and they ended up driving the wrong way down the highway into the Bear Mtn bridge after a gig in Poughkeepsie, NY. I almost kicked his ass until he offered me a Snickers bar out of his pocket when got the the hotel room

If vv wants his guitars to have a legacy and be collectable I realty think he should call the guitar company vinnie Vincent guitars rather than guitatmageddon and also do like Grover did, just sign vinnies name for the headstock logo. That's what people would really want from the guitar. It's also more classic and timeless than coming up with a guitarmageddon logo. Just my uncalled for 2c for my old pal.
I am not picking on him, just telling him what people spending a shit load of cash would be more into. How can you doubt in the future a vinnie Vincent guitar doublev ?? Why I bother I don't .. umm I don't know.

I think it is smart on Vinnie's part only if he plans on releasing a Guitarmageddon CD/DVD. He should connect his name to Guitarmageddon.I also think he should keep the "Invasion" tag as a band name. Yngwie started using Rising Force again , didn't he ???

Not sure what you mean Dino but it took me a little while to realise that the price on the Anniversary model actually increased since NAMM.

I first noticed the "deposit" was more than $6k and thought that was strange, then finally noticed the guitar was $500 more than before.

I don't mind the brand/business being called Guitarmageddon. I think it's somewhat clever and paints an image pretty quickly. He just needs to build up the brand, which will never happen if he doesn't release any music and tries selling non-existent guitars for 3x their actual worth.

1031, well said. It's low end smoke and mirrors . He doesn't have any new music and the gfh record seems to be at demo level and its certainly not new , its 20 years old. Also if he charges $1000 for a pick and $500 for a forum pass then the music will be 2k I bet.
Not only that vv wants to have something fans don't have. If he releases gfh he has lost some power in a freaky way. How many times has he said he will release guitars from hell and didnt.
He obviously doesn't make new music.
