Ahh, so this guy goes way back and was there with Gerhard in Euro conventions of the 90's. He's not clear on a few other points of Vinnie's life, as he wasn't there, but it's interesting he says they left Vinnie.

Gerhard didn't explain it like this in his statement, released many, many years ago now.
