It also has the two control knob plate suggesting it's the original gold one completely refinished. If it had a serial numbed it'll be stamped on the fretboard between the 21st and 22nd frets and read RR****.
One other thing that would confirm it's vintage is the heel strap button placement. The very earliest Rhoads guitars had the button not so close to the neck.

How much money could they have given Vinnie to put the make- up back on. From the first time I saw this , I felt bad for him and thought that it was just SAD. Do it PROPERLY with the gold Rhoads and the 'Creatures' uniform or don't do it at all.

I've just been crosschecking the pink Rhoads in those expo pics against the COTN pictures post where Vin has the Gold guitar, and (sad but true) looking very closely at the dark and light patterns on the inlays, and I reckon that is the same guitar.
I also see the same patterns on the Lick it Up tour pink one.
Have a check for yourselves, but I'm convinced. If we can get a decent close pic of the Hard Rock guitar I think it'll match too.
I know it looks like the LIU tour guitar has Ebony, however a Rosewood board which is played regularly does appear considerably darker than one which has dried out through non use, as the Expo/Cardiff guitar would probably be.

That's absolutly right! But I don't like THIS wig from Vinnie. It is not the style from COTN with his painted face. The lipgloss is also not right. Look at the old pictures than you can see the differences.poserboy71 wrote:Nothing against people that wear wigs, it's just fact. Heck, 3/4 's of Kiss wear wigs onstage now !!
