So there is our friend Rip with his arm around a shim that is holding the box for the Archive's that my wife paid him $125 dollars for 21 years ago as a present for me and never received. Your a nice guy Rip and a true Vinnie Fan and I have remained silent until now but Cusano's actions disturb me. The thumbs up showing that box set is a thumb in the eye to everyone who in good faith sent this serial thief their hard earned money all those years ago. He has sold a bunch of merchandise through the Julien's Auctions, shirts, guitars, autographs, appearances etc. that he could easily at this point do the ethical thing and send the fans the Archive's that they paid for 2 decades ago. If he is not ready to do that he could now refund these poor innocent fans that were victimized by this serial predator. But alas he does nothing. At first his excuse was that he didn't have the means to but what is his excuse now? Good for you that your a loyal fan but many of us were once too and trustingly and faithfully sent our hard earned money to this person who admits that he got in trouble and STOLE FROM HIS FANS. His number one priority should be to make things right with ALL the people that he has wronged in the past. I will say this to everyone here that if Vinnie makes a gesture to makes things right for stealing my wife's hard earned money we will be fair and square and I will never slag him again. Until which time that happens seeing pictures of the Archive's Box and hearing you talk about listening to Archive's Content that I should have been enjoying for 21 years doesn't give me a loving feeling. I recognize that your a good person and none of this negativity is your fault and I wish you the best but if you really would like to help Cusano urge him to make things right with the fans that sent him their hard earned money 20 years ago. This is his ONLY way to establish "new beginnings" and truly establish a fresh start. Give us what we paid for in good faith all those years ago and we will retire from being critiques and wish him the best. Everyone of us can get in to trouble and suffer negative consequences but our personal actions after these times shows our true character. As humans we should make amends for our miss deeds which Vinnie is fully capable of doing at this point. You deserve your fandom and your positive voice and people have no right to silence you but please be aware that as you post news here and on Kissfaq about you and Wilkie being gifted things for free that families like mine paid our hard earned money for and have never received doesn't do anything to renew Vinnie's Positive Image that I would believe that he would like. Rather it peels a scab off a 20 year old sore of injustice. Since you as fan want to help Vinnie I kindly wanted you to be aware of this as your posts may not over all be creating the desired intent of positive news. Imagine that we were still young boys and I had a gallon of your favorite Ice Cream and wouldn't even share a single bite with you. I understand that you cant share these items but for the betterment of Vinnie please keep your good fortune to yourself. If we cant enjoy the music too we would rather not hear about it. If your connected to Wilkie and Vinnie urge them to do the right thing for the families that purchased the Vinnie Vincent Archive's and if he does that then we are square and I wish him the best. He was a truly enormous talent who could have been recognized as a guitar great if he had made some different decisions along the way.

Slayer, first of all, I appreciate the kind thoughts. In all honesty, when we took that photo I didn’t know V was holding that box until I got home and started looking thru my pics. That’s the reason I cropped it so tightly before when I posted. I later realized that there are already pics of that box on the Internet, so it’s nothing new. Vinnie is still working on the Archives. It’s an empty box in the photo... if you Google around, you’ll find pics of the same boxes and they are designed to hold cassettes.

The box is proof that the Archives were definitely in the works then, too. Yes, things didn’t go as planned before, and there is plenty of info out there to piece together what happened. But I believe him when he says he intends on making it right. That’s what I was talking about a few weeks ago — how things are starting to move forward again, and that a fresh approach is helping to keep that momentum going. I do understand where you are coming from, but again I’m just saying, staying dug into those foxholes isn’t going to get anything, and you’ll be sitting there 10 more years from now with nothing new to show for it. It’s totally your choice and right of course, but there are others helping to keep things going by supporting what’s happening now. That in turn will create the opportunities to finish things like Guitarmageddon, the VV Archives, etc. Finished product doesn’t just magically appear out of thin air, right? Other ingredients are needed.

Maybe it wasn’t the best idea to talk about the songs here. Please understand we’re trying to generate excitement to keep things moving forward. And it’s damn good stuff! It will be well worth the wait. Definitely not trying to wave anything under anyone’s noses to open old wounds. If that is the result, then I won’t mention them further here. But at that point, I won’t really have much reason left to be here, either.

I do love VVFF. I just think some here need to decide if they’re content with past experience or if they want to keep things going forward. There really isn’t much way to move forward without letting go of some of the past. I don’t mean forgetting, but it might take forgiving, or at least some grace. I can tell you that those of us moving forward are having a grand old time, and Christmas is going to be even better. Everyone is welcome. :)

So what you are saying is it takes more than 23years to get these secret 21 ingredients of unobtainium to finish some crappy 'cassette tape' boxset.
That is a ridiculous outlandish argument that makes zero sense to anyone with half a brain.

You are right, products, don't just magically appear out of thin air. Except in VV case. Other peoples money, Guitars, they appear out of thin air and are stolen by VV and then in the case of the guitars, sold as his own property. AZG anyone?

To boot, those cancelled gigs. Disgraceful. VV is completely responsible for the failure to deliver. Lots of people's time, money and faith were stolen from his reluctance to preform. Not a great example of 'Moving Forward' And all this NOW! hype?? So was the cancelled gigs NOW or in the past? Cause logic dictates it was in the past, but not the distant past. So when is this NOW?

I choose to look at the fact of Vinnie sharing a few tunes with a few people as positive in nature.
I would think it shows that he really is working on getting the versions of each song sonically to his liking.

Why does it affect your happiness ?

Honestly, I could give two fucks. Good luck to VV. Hope he can still play. Hope he does release some NEW music that is not pre-prder.
That Eric Carr Euphoria LTD disk. NEWSFLASH - Shit I have the original one of that. That is past history. Everyone has hear that stuff from 23 years ago.
Thing is, I'm not going to sit back and listen to hyper bullshit.
Again good luck to VV and his flock of sheepeople.
Just look out for each other, 'love peace and geese'

Interesting song... thanks! But I kept thinking what it needed was a Vinnie Vincent solo right in the middle with notes raining down like a hail of bullets.

Btw, “melt your inner core” is another VV lyric from Heavy Metal Poontang”. That song is guaranteed to supercharge one’s, umm... personal affairs. :D

Sorry, but we don't have Vinnie Vincent in France ! The video i sent was to show you sensuality of this french singer (for your lemon)
"Forbidden" and juvenile girls are a word and idea that always come back in his lyrics.....

If i want to hear wild, efficient and yet still melodic solos i listen to this. Angus Young and his Gibson

He knows what's really going on but kissing ass until the moment to let it all blow up but vv would never trust rip with unrealsed tunes however much at the present time he trusts him

Dino , You are really putting your ignorance on display.
I never once relayed a message from Vinnie against you guys and you damn well know that.
You are a broken record. Get over the shit or for your own sanity go away from this place that pains you.

Uncle Kev, Aside from a childish insult, made his point very poignantly. He is pissed yet is still open for things to be handled respectfully between Artist and fan.

Maybe some people here did not notice that this forum changed it's name. It's now Vinnie Vincent forum.
That means that everyone is allowed to share an opinion, good or bad. It's so easy to tell people who don't agree with the sheeps to leave......
Some members from here are also in KISSFAQ. So, stay there, a lot of work for you, because the members of KISSFAQ are really hard to deal with and they don't buy everything............You would not dare tell them to leave !!!!! Dino, Slayer, Megatron have the right to be doubtful and angry and not be judged.

Seems to me that I responded in the open...not behind your back.

Once again, your poor English to French translation sparks nonsense.
Try to keep the shit exiting your body strictly from your gaping butthole and not your mouth.
I am starting to not be able to tell the difference between the two.
At least you can plant a flower in a turd.
Your words are as transparent as your breath. Both useless. :)

This place is a nightmare. Really. I came to this forum when it seemed there might be some life in the VV world. I visit this forum regularly, looking for something positive but realistic. But "realism" appears to be long-dead here.

Fans have every reason to be angry. I can think of no hard-core community - from from Star Trek to homebrew gamers - that has suffered and/or torn at itself so much.

Of course, we would like to see something old (the box set) and something new from VV. However, let's be realistic: his credibility is severely damaged, fanbase dwindled and demand for his talents fading fast. And, in his late 60s now - a senior citizen, if you will - after years of hardship, stress, seclusion (or hiding, if we prefer), self-imposed exile, I just do not believe he has the energy-reserve, determination and desire necessary to mount (see: self-fund / follow-through on) the effort to get up on a stage, write a book, address critics and re-establish himself.

I read somewhere (perhaps in this forum) that he feels he has nothing to prove. I am inclined to disagree. He has to prove that he wants to be out there again and that his fans matter. Musicians, politicians, athletes, writers have to win people over. And, if this forum is any indication, there are very few people won over here. There are more who would put out $10 or $20 for a quality product guaranteed to exist and build from there. As for the blind followers, are there enough to sell books, tickets and music to?

So, to those who have his ear and to the man himself, who is undoubtedly reading this, I ask: Is there anything realistic left in this world of music for him? His domain has torn himself apart in his absence, or rather, his presence. Should we all just move on? Short of him showing himself on YouTube or somewhere else for his fans to see, I don't see that there is any realistic hope of a return (five hundred-dollar secret shows don't count).

As the song says, "come out of the shadows". For myself, I realistically think that the man, whose talent and product we all admired, has outlived his own legend and should probably be left alone and leave us alone, unless he has anything substantive he can do or say to alleviate our suffering and help us celebrate right here, where we all are: online, a click away from Amazon and PayPal, guarantors against tricks and shadows.

He’s back, geepee... Playing better than ever with many plans in the works. Lots of unreleased tracks to be heard at Christmas. VV is gearing up to unleash the beast! But he’s going to do it the way he wants to do it. May not make sense to some at this stage and I know it doesn’t fit the conventional prescription for a comeback, but those of us who went to the Birthday Bash get it now and are on board. Hang in there (or come join us). :)

Not faking at all... I definitely have it. I don’t make things up. Listening to it right now since I saw you mention it. It’s 4:40, has a groove you haven’t heard before in a VV song, a 40 second long blistering guitar solo that extends a bit into the next bridge, and ends with a wolf whistle on guitar.

And it’s Cockteazer.... get your song names straight.

RIP.

Just curious. Are you sure it is best to say only 2 people have this music?
No offense but you and Roger are fans. Not an insult but the truth. You can create a bit of social media buzz on a locked to the public FB group and the handful of people here. That is not real buzz, nor will you two people give an honest opinion to the music. Maybe you do like it, but an honest critique? No, you are both so starstruck. In fact Rogers's opinion was :

"I'll write more on the songs in a couple days, when I've truly absorbed them all. But I will say now.....WOW !! Everything you've heard about GUITARMAGEDDON is true...and then some. In the car it felt like I had been smashed against the back window...Cockteaser especially is a masterpiece ....these songs are unlike anything I've ever heard...just WOW"

Essentially the greatest thing he has ever heard.

If this music was that good and VV wanted a true opinion he would send copies to Trunk, Blabbermouth, Loudwire and it would be in the hands of Island or Reckless Records. Truth is he doesn't want an opinion, he can't handle criticism and he never could. He would rather hand pick people that will say things like, "unlike anything I've ever heard."

Do you want to hear it? Ya I am curious, but I also have heard the unreleased youtube stuff, Euphoria tracks etc... truth is it is not that good. Ya it's this is remastered, but new mixing/balancing doesn't improve content.

Wow, You don't think the "unreleased" tracks,no matter which versions or takes you have heard, aren't beyond stellar and showcase Vinnie's growth in his playing between ASG and then ?

It is sleazy, contains the melodic lines and overkill we want and love about his playing, with Prog-Fusion precision and improvisation.
I look forward to owning it if/when it happens.

Firstly, I just want the damn boxset bullshit to be taken care of. When that happens, a lot of the anger on display in fan circles will be squashed.
Vinnie said it would happen in 2019.
Knowing that some people are getting to hear these tracks tells me that Vinnie is working on getting all of his tracks in order... to make ammends for the past and to get his rightful due in the future.

I still believe that when fans, guitar outlets, and musicians in general hear these tracks, the Vinnie buzz will be unstoppable.

I've waited for over three decades. I will accept it as it comes and enjoy it.

I think the music has potential but it's not a band. VV wrote songs with the sole focus on guitar showcase. Hey all good he is a guitarist but I felt like it took away from the songs being a two man show.

Robert's voice as always is phenomenal. VV guitar is amazing, but the music quality drops from there.
They used a programmable drum machine, it sounds generic and it ruins the quality of the music.
VV played bass on the tracks. He is a guitarist and Dded some bass to give the sound depth, but it is not bass, its filler and it is mixed so low.
If he hired 2 decent studio musicians it would have made a world of difference.
I have just never loved the material on GFH.

As for the box set. I hope he makes it right and does deliver on the box set. But my question: After all these years did he really save the order info? IMO no way.

So what is the definition of "Good"? Is your definition the end all be all of definitions? I have properly mixed versions of songs also available on Youtube, and one unreleased version of "Gypsy In Her Eyes" and in MY opinion, they are excellent. So I guess if you do not like Vinnie's music, then nothing will be good to you. But I am curious, is any of Vinnie's music "Good enough" for you?

Maybe you should have read my post rather than be such a pariah and you would see my clear explanation of why I do not like it.

The songs lack a comprehensive rhythm section. The drums are a programmed digital beat and the bass is non-existent. Too me yes that kills the quality of the music.

I specifically said Robert's vocals are amazing and Vinnie's playing is out of this world. But the songs put together without real drums and bass kill the quality. Remixing will not change this, not will remastering. If Vinnie has the individual tracks they could record drums and add depth to the bass and it would vastly improve my opinion. I dont imagine what they could be I take them for what they are, and they are not that good. Does that mean bad? No. Does it mean good? No. It's in the middle C to C+. Sorry I can independently feel a release is not up to par with other work and still be a fan.

Long story short he has amazing homemade pasta and topped it with Ragu.

And no where did I insult the ASG album or the self titled so no clue how you concluded that none of his music is good. Those albums have Bobby Rock and Dana Strum, two very capable musicians who yes make a huge difference over a drum machine and a mixing that negates a bass balance mix.
Please, go spin your bullshit else where. Pretend to be someone important on Legion and reminisce about your neurological shock of walking into SIR and being in Vinnie's presence. Vinnie is a great musician but you are a grown man, act like it.

He may very well be a top notch fan. But that does not make him automatically right.

Never did I say I did not like VVs music. In fact why would I be here if I hate VV? I don't like Coldplay, not on any Coldplay boards.

All I did was present a detail critique of why I am not a fan of VVs Guitarmaggedon or Guitars from Hell material.
I am a huge Metallica fan but I dont like Load and Reload... that doesn't mean I hate Ride the Lightning.

All I did was clearly state why I am not a fan of material. Moore chose to insert himself into my critique, disregard all my valid personal choices for my critique and decide to turn it into a blanket statement about being a non-fan.

David's access to unreleased material does not put him on a pedestal. Why should I automatically "give him credit?" For his personal connection and being the administrator of a VV page? No sorry I dont put human beings above others for some materialistic possession or connection to fame.

Furthermore, "he knows what he is talking about"? Where does he know more about me than my personal opinion? Not once did Mr. Moore present one counterpoint as to why my opinion does not match his point or why he likes GFH. Maybe he should have taken a little more than five lines of pandering to his demigod.

I totally understand that the guitars from hell stuff that I have heard lacks a fat rhythm sound that the other releases have. And I understand some people really don't care for guitars from hell and some love it.

To me on the positive side of things I am glad Vinnie didn't opt to make a commercially record and recorded 7 minute plus epic tunes but I also understand there is a thin sound but that maybe to so with the fact the demos were not finished or mixed but I understand and agree what we have in front of us doenst match the earlier releases and I too can not stand the drum sound when he's not got Andre la belle playing . Still love it though.

The child games about who vv feels qualifies as a fan or not is ridiculous rip. Rip is like the phoney in a movie that plays super nice then when you turn your back he gets an axe and tries to hack you to death.

Music is very subjective and for some people the smallest thing can male the biggest difference. For me full sound is important.

I am not saying me being a musician makes me have a better taste for music but I feel like it makes me hear music from a musicians perspective. I want to hear the bass, the highhats and the real snare.

I am not a chef, I can eat a rib eye off the grill and be happy. My sister in law can't make a steak without 12 different seasons... and she can taste if one is missing, not me. Her steaks are still good but if some Montreal pepper seasoning was missing I wouldn't notice.

I dont know why I keep comparing VVs music too food but I am.

This convo has gotten weird... I don’t question fandom that way. And I’m certainly not two-faced, lol. I’ll pretty much tell you what I think (as I’ve often demonstrated on VVFF).

I will be completely honest.

I think you are a bit over the top, I guess a better term is superfan. I personally cant get the concept of worshipping another living being. Maybe it has to do with not believing in God, being a recovering catholic and the though of putting another person above others... with the exception of my wife and kids. But you have a right, I dont judge you as a bad person for it.

That said, I honestly take you as one of the most genuine guys here. I think there is some self serving motivation for you, maybe you are like VVs version of a missionary trying to convert and convince people to embrace VV. I don't think its wrong, definitely better than someone out campaigning for a shady politician.

But doubleV has a point, I think someday you may get taken for a ride over your loyalty, but you are the only one who decides how much you put yourself out there for VV.

Long story short, I do like your contribution to the VVFF even if we dont see eye to eye on VV as a person. As a musician for VVI, I think he is an amazing writer and guitarist but my admiration for him stops at ASG.
