Thanks Vic! I envisioned it would happen some day.; it just look longer than I (or anyone I'd imagine) expected. I'm simply grateful that he's okay.
Maybe one day he'll strap it on and play it since I'm not even sure he owns an original anymore. I put an email into his attorney to see if he might be interested but haven't heard anything yet

About freakin time!
Looks great.
Think we're the only factory, twin humbucker, Jackson VVV owners too, Drew?
We've a similar name too!

Can you believe Vinnie M. is saying it's ugly?
I reminded him that if his Eagles ever won the SB he said he'd give me #1 proto VM Dean (I actually have it in writing). This way he can show me (once again) what a "beautiful" geet looks like
There was sudden silence lol

Saw him live with Alice cooper. He had an amazing solo. I had time Odyssey I think too. He once joked in an interview he was forming a band called the Vinnie Moore Invasion

Very nice! (maybe post some pron?) I only have the neptune #150 now. I was going to buy #1 on Ebay ($1000) but didn't pursue. Never had the Zolatone
Re: Dana..check Bobby..check Mark..check Rob..check...
I Bought the gold lip exact guitar in the advertisement

Re: Dana..check Bobby..check Mark..check Rob..check...
The Ritz quad with original Gibson necks. The original Neptune prototype was also a Gibson. I could have bought it back in 2006. The unique thing is they had shell on headstock as well.
Grover Jackson still owns his Jackson zolatone.

Drew MAB and Mark St John Gibson ad 1987

Re: Dana..check Bobby..check Mark..check Rob..check...
A guy I know here has one of those Gibsons. Last I saw it it was not set up how I like to play it, but he was cool with it.
I'll have to try and catch up with him to see if he still has it, cause he began using a custom built 7 String V, string-thru, so I didn't see the Gibson anymore.

Ear ear!
Yes it’s a 1987 factory model. Only one of two pink/silver models, other than the two that Vinnie was given, that were ordered by a public customer. This is also the only VVV that was made with “Rhoads shoulders”. I guess that the guy who placed the order asked for this mod?
Drew’s like mine, has a factory fitted neck pickup. No other original run models have twin pickups. Not that I can find anyway. Allegedly 28 Jackson VVVs were made but as of today, I’ve only found pictures of 13. The only other twin pickup Jackson VVV was built in 2005 for a large Guitar collector. It’s pretty cool too!

Drew, do you still have the picture of the original owner? I remember he was playing it in front of a Randy/Ozzy poster.

"Wow Drew, it`s a relief to me that my girl is in good hands and well respected. The night I let it go I cried, it meant everything to me then. It was not a choice that I wanted to make. I had some awesome years with that guitar and every place I played, the lights were on it. You noticed a chip in the paint on one of the wings, that was my first time playing it out of the case. Hit a mic stand. Vinnie is strange but because of him I`ve developed a way of playing along with and of course, Brian May. In the late 70`s I built his guitar ( Brian ) myself with tech advise from Gretch with whom my uncle was a tech with. I used the neck from my Strat, looked funny but it worked out. It was stolen along with stage lights at my first battle of the bands in 79. Anyway brother thank you so much for finding me. Oh by the way, I just may have that invoice. I am in the process of moving but I will look for it and send it to you if I find it. I did order it through Zapfs music in, I believe Pennsauken NJ. I`ll keep in touch on that. Paul"

I believe that the "shoulders" were just put into the build by the factory.
Grover Jackson told me that there wasn't a blueprint for this guitar and that they basically freehanded/experimented with subtle things during their builds.
Only the wind truly knows...
