PRS SE Floyd Custom 24

Post by Genebaby »

So I was looking at some Orianthi stuff to show my daughter a cool guitarist and noticed she had an SE version of a signature guitar.

It's red, which is nice, but didn't appeal to much with it's vintage type trem, which I know PRS use as their preference.

Which is why I loved it when Neal Schon did a signature and had them put a Floyd on there, as he did with Gibson, so cool.

How good does Neal's look?

I'd heard good things about the SE range since Tremonti got one a long way back so I Googled PRS SE Floyd and got a hit on the PRS SE Floyd Custom 24.

It's almost perfect. Has a Floyd. Comes in red. 24 frets is good. Bird inlays.

The only thing I would change is the blade switch for a nice 3-way (I like 3-ways) switch, but beggars who don't want to pay the big bucks can't be choosers.

Why did I have to see this guitar? Looks to be unavailable in Australia maybe, all the Ebay hits were overseas, US and UK.

No way I'm buying it now with all this travelling I've been doing, but gee, I wouldn't mind, ha ha.

Anyone had much experience with any of the SE range?

I saw Orianthi playing with Alice Cooper two or three years ago, she had a great presence on stage. I got a pick she threw at the audience, then I exchanged it with a Special Forces pick... Orianthi's pick was more romantic...
For the PRS SE, I like the Dave Navarro model too.

Knowing you, you'll make one out of three rubber bands, some chicken wire and football bladder! :P :P :P
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(
