Thanks a lot for your comments.
The guitar is working now. It stays In tune fine. I want to play it for a while to see what needs to be improved.

 The Vinman came up to my house this afternoon to SIGN the headstock and listen to those awsome italian songs!

I'd say pictures are better than reality, you don't see or feel everything, just like when you look at cars pictures...

No we are all here I think!

I've said it 3 or 4 times now...you are amazing Tuko!!!!

I can see why you were worried about the low E string being close to the edge! But if it's only close at the 1-3 fret, you shouldn't have a "slide off" problem.

Thanks! I need to bring some improvement to it now before I take new pics. For example, I'm not happy with the fretboard...

I'm also thinking about recording something approximatively vinniesque...

The guitar is kind of heavy, heavier than a Les Paul that's for sure... I didn't expect that. It's mainly because of the filler I think. I like the materials this guitar is made of : wood, plastic, aluminium, filler close to concrete. Concrete guitar... Never seen that!

Not knowing the brand of that guitar, I did some research and found something. I think it's a Jarock! See the pictures below : same neck. Mine was a double guitar though...

Some info on Jarock:
Reading up on some Dutch guitar sites, (gitaar.net), I came across this interesting info and a lot of pics: Jarock is a boutique (badge engineered) guitar imported into the Netherlands in the late '70s by the van Will brother’s Jaap, Rob and Koos. Manufactured in Japan that produced Ibanez and Greco. Funny thing is that Matsumoku and FujiGen both manufactured Greco/Ibanez in the '70s

Eagle-eyed Ed... If Ed saw my guitar, I think he'd say : "the guitar looks pretty good from 20 feet away". :D

New News

Prices are starting at $9,000.00 Which is $5,000,00 higher than "The Ed Roman V Twin" starts at.

The guitar actually looked pretty good from 8 feet away. It did not measure up to the level of quality that we are doing on our V Twin Model. In fact it doesn't measure up to the Jackson model that was discontinued 10 years ago. I am a bit surprised, I know Tom Pilecki & I know he is capable of better quality. I suppose cost issues & royalties to Vinnie Vincent may play a part in this.

The guitars when they were at NAMM suffered from Vinnie changing his mind, they were not technically finished or ready but Tom took them out anyway.

How did you make the V inlays? They have a pink border around them....amazing!

I just did a pink line with paint... Before that I buried the V's with a Dremel, then filled the V's with glitter paint, and varnish. The V inlays is a great idea, but I think I should have taken more time to do them. They look OK on the pictures though, or a few feet away...

I'm thinking about recording something with that Ultrash VVV, and put it on youtube.

At last I've recorded something with that Ultrash VVV ...free adaptation of a Vinnie/Kiss song... I have to shoot some pics/cuts of it before posting all that on YouTube.

I've also found these pics recently, and now I'm 99% sure the guitar was a Kawai/Kawaj F1 double neck.

SonOftheAnkh, Poserboy, thanks a lot.
I'm thinking about making an acoustic VVV version  , or another VVV from pieces of wood and a japanese Jackson neck if I can find one...

Another idea is to get the famous VVV Pear #3... I already got some info from Tom about it. I have to decide, and ALSO to tell my wife before ordering it! :?

You should make a 12-string acoustic VVV! That would be so cool!

Twelve strings, why not? The most important thing is to find a good neck that makes you want to play the instrument.

I don't have a lot of experience with acoustic necks but if you somehow wanted to use an electric neck I would recommend Kramers. I've been a Kramer player for quite a while and the necks are great.

Yes, as long as the neck is a good one, I'd use it. The problem is to find a guitar that is not in a too good condition, because I'd hate to destroy it for this...

looks better than those thirdworld horrorshow knockoffs Egg Roman made. most likely plays better too.

I remember browsing on his website about 10 years ago and wondered why NONE of the guitars had prices listed, then read where he wrote something along the lines of:
"don't bother calling my shop to inquire about pricing. if you have to ask, then you can't afford it!"

I suppose his customers at that time were used to handing him a blank check when they picked something out LOL.

he had a crappy photo of what appeared to be a really nice USA RR1. could have been a custom order, but maybe it was an Ed custom special that he modified from a Japanese model to appear like a USA built model, and most likely charging twice what a USA model went for at the time.
