I currently have 3 Jacksons

To the left is a neck through the body Custom Shop Telecaster with a bound neck and body. This guitar has a very unique and rather strange Kahler Bridge with fine tuners but it isn't a tremelo bridge.

The center is a Limited Edition 1988 Soloist with a real Floyd Rose rather than the Jackson licensed ones. The upper register frets are scallopped.

To the right is an inexpensive but very cool Jackson Professional with a bolt on neck. I stole this guitar for less than $300 and I really like it.

Yo Kev,

The bridge on your Tele is a Kahler 3310. They look like the regular Kahler trems but are fixed.

They were used on the Dave Mustaine King V models.

The Limited 88 is a Dinky, pretty cool and rare model. My Model 88 Charvel is it's cousin from Japan.

The last one is a pretty cool Dinky, from the late 90's. The top unfortunately isn't real at all. Jackson called it a Gravure top, it's also known as Photoflame and what that means is, it's a picture. Weird time frame for Jackson back then, a lot of fake tops.

Kev, are the last 6 frets scalloped on the blue one?
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

The last few are, yes, I'm not sure how many that is exactly.

That's how that model was made, Limited Editions in that colour/feature set.

Thank you Vic!
It is really fun for me to connect with you guitar enthusiasts! I have never known what model Kahler that was and thanks to you know I do. I've actually never seen them on another guitar little alone Dave Mustaine's so thanks for that too. The Purple Flame I was unaware was a photo flame but for the price that I got for I'm certainly not suprised. It still plays great though.
Are the last 6 frets scallopped on your Charvel 88 that you mentioned?

Exactly! The last 6.

That's kind of different. I've never owned one of these but wasn't that original Steve Vai Floral Pattern JEM from the late 1980's scalllopped in a similiar way?

Yes, the last 6. The body is also recessed for the trem all the way to the base of the guitar. (Front) I think that looks cool on this guitar.

Chris,
Did you like it? I really like the thin flat neck on mine.

I believe the Ibanez Jem guitars are scalloped from the 20th-24th fret.-- 4 frets--

The Charvel Model 88 is a 22 fret guitar and does not have any scalloping. It has one slanted pickup.

It's in my thread on the web page, but I'll get around to posting them in these threads soon.
