Why on guitars with him humbuckers and single coils is the humbuckers always in bridge position?
You know me.. This makes me want single coil in bridge and humbucker in neck or middle position. Can someone explain any reasons however?

Noise and power! Most used is the rear pickup so you'd like it powerful and quiet.

I think Motorhead's original guitarist has a SHS set up!?

Mainly because thats where the brighter sound is because its closer to the bridge. A humbucker naturally has a thinker sound so it balances the brightness of the pickup placement area. If you notice if a humbucker is in the neck position it is usually a cooler winding set so it's not so muddy, Because the string travel is further at that point giving it a thicker or wider tone.

I actually love the the sound of a single coil in the center most of all

Those are regular singles. Kramer had Floyds just about sown up so there were a lot of Jacksons with Kahlers unfortunately.
