My best friend when I was a kid, had a tobacco burst Vantage "stratish" shaped guitar that played like butter. My "Onyx" looked like Adrian Smith's Jackson Strat but played half as good as that Vantage. And I knew it too!

please note that those are made of aluminium so the sound may change.
Those trems are interesting, thanks. And cheaper than the ones I put the pictures of.
I think I'll keep the idea for another guitar, because the Vantage will certainely lose its famous sustain if I put a trem on it.

Those nice guitars look like japanese guitars (Matsumoku). Were they made in Japan?

From memory they were American but I agree they look Japanese. They were made from walnut which was a bit different. Walnut warm tone and binter like strong bad coffee.

There one Gretsch committee bass to sell until tomorrow for 1500 CHF (1700 $ approximately). That's not japanese guitars' cheap prices...

Switch Vibracell is a patented process of completely molding both electric and bass guitars including the neck and headstock, from the patented Switch Vibracell material creating an instrument with precise harmonic resonance and sound frequency.

Vibracell allows the entire instrument to be created as a whole with complete control of neck, body weight and density by controlling the internal cells. With the ability to control the cells we can effectively tune the body and neck to exceed the characteristics and response of those instruments made from the best available woods in the world.

Additionally, Vibracell has the pure strength to withstand extreme temperature changes that affect traditional wooden bodies and necks. The ability to control the cells density allows the neck to be formed with the body as one piece. Vibracell allows a true one piece neck-through design that eliminates the gluing of two half bodies to the neck. The one piece neck-thru body approach allows for energy to be transmitted through the entire body not only with extreme efficiency, but at a higher rate of speed ultimately delivering pure sustain and clarity. Vibracell technology allows the instrument to be created equally, time and time again without variances in sound due to the variances in wood.
Vibracell® Technology delivers all of this and More...

That's interesting, it would be cool to try that in regular shapes.

Yes,would be interesting in a regular shape. Even 3D printers are getting used to make guitars now! Scary...

Almost looks like the "Rarebird" too!

I love the volume knob LOL :-)

The fretboard goes as deep into the body as an Ed Roman V Twin :-)
Looks like a toilet seat cover. Makes me want to drop a dunce on top of the bridge.

Vantage were pretty well made back in the day. Good quality, low cost guitars. I see what you mean about the neck! It's like they made a set neck but then decided to bolt it "just for safety"! :D
