i did not build it , it was a epiphone bass that i got the body replaced
this was 1995 pics are from 96 , lol, the things you are making me post
no internet, the luthier made a replica from a few small pictures i passed to him ...lol
I sold the bass for around $ 100 back in 2006 to a friend who plays on the same tribute
i was playing but they wear make up now ...

my voice / amp / microphone or whatever was real real low until the last song ...when
i sang RARAN AUSTRALIA 1980 Style : at 58:15
i liked to say " I " like gene did in 77 , and i made a mistake before the solo
but the camera battery was exhausted by then lol

Well, it's finally done
My good friend finished the whole perfect work on the eagle!

The project was to replicate Gene's Spector II style on my BC Rich eagle, body shapes
looks really similar so i went ahead and decided to do it.
I didnt want to use the "Spector logo" because it was not a spector, Gene's bass was a one
of a kind so its not a clone at all, just a Eagle sporting the Spector II Style.
The results are pretty impressive, this is the closest thing to the real deal.
Gene's Spector II was last seen live at Galveston 1990 and he used it on the Rise to it video.
Same bass was used on Maracana 1983. It was absent from the auction, he might still have it.
We used the same EMG Pickup and knob positions, my friend did the whole job including the
pickguard and truss cover. Stellar Job !!!!

That has always been the best version of Dr. Love ever recorded! Every one plays great, sings great, the huge crowd, the insanely sped up faster tempo and Vinnie literally shits all over Ace on this song. That guitar solo fucking rules and no version has ever matched this version of the song period.

Great to see this video again Sammy!

Great stuff Sammy!

Ditto on the Dr Love too!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(
