Latest UFO Build
My new band mate Paul Green was so impressed with my Ace flasher he wanted to join the exclusive club.
He handed me his Monterey LP copy and said what can u do with this....SO i did this....a 21 LED Downlight UFO that still has the 2 humbuckers that are switchable ( neck / bridge )....its not exactly a replica but it has the UFO look with the customers desire to keep his neck sound...win win plus it will do 16 individual light patterns in random or be set at one you like...neat ha !
Day i started
Started to strip it down
Holes drilled, dials and switch relocated and base coated silver
Laying down some HEAVY METAL Flake
Assemble the UFO back together

Cool as per usual!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!

Very nice. Professional all the way.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Re: Latest UFO Build
Thanks guys, i really enjoy this work !
For my builds i start a Photobucket page for each job and upload the progress of the guitar start to finish, i find its good for the customer to see whats going on, works really well. I started this guitar in December just gone so its been a pretty quick turnaround.
Other builds happening at the moment are a Bill Joe Armstrong Gibson LP to Flasher and Epiphone Special II LP to flasher, both for Australian customers.

Re: Latest UFO Build
How'd you re-wire this one? 2 volumes so you can do the kill switch effect or is it a volume and a tone knob?

No its volume and tone per pup, he wanted to retain the neck sound.shramiac wrote:How'd you re-wire this one? 2 volumes so you can do the kill switch effect or is it a volume and a tone knob?
Bridge is a Dimarzio and neck is brand new Epi pup from one of my previous conversions.
Its come up pretty cool actually, 2 less lights than usual and 2 pups so its really just
personal choice , i just listened to what he wanted and worked the UFO look around that.
