I can't remember if I saw Tony James from Sigue Sigue Sputnik with it first or Ace but whoever it was definitely influenced my wanting one since age 14...

I ended up buying a GR-20 synth module and adding the divided pickup to my 707 (but sadly sold it two years ago)

I remember looking for the 24 pin cable back in 2005 just outta curiosty and couldn't find one anywhere.
