I've wanted a Dean Cadillac since seeing Elliot Easton playing one in the late 70's /early 80's. I believe it was powder pink with three humbuckers.

Rick,
LOL! I too have a similiar story. I got excited about Cadillac's watching Kerry Livgren from Kansas and that dude from the Doobie Brothers also used one for a while in the 80's. For years after I first noticed those guitars I could never afford an American Made one. The Sunburst is an American Made 25th Anniversay Model. It has a cool contoured neck almost triangular feeling to the touch. The Blue Cadilac is a Europeon Model and it's much different but still cool in a different way.

Yes, I remember Kansas and the Doobie Bros. playing them also !!! So cool to have my memory jarred like that. Now I'm off to look at my vintage Guitar Player mags to see if I can find some pictures of them playing those beauties. I always used to abuse myself to those old Dean ads!

Some where I may have an old Dean add too from the 80's. How nostalgic!

Here's my Les Paul style, er, Les Paul. Behind it is my joint favourite amp of all time, 100 watts of Mullard and GEC powered KT66 fatness.

I play piano so it's not a problem to use the left or right hand for me.
But as I said I play neither right nor left really good...
I'm a better rhythm gitarist than a solist like most of you.

This is my Fernandes "Super Grade" LP replica. Not a copy cause this thing is exactly like a Gibson.

When I bought it it was original and had the tuners you get with Gibsons and covered pickups, and I have the original scratch plate somewhere.

I changed the tuners and put ebony knobs on it and it now has EMG's, 81 in the bridge, 85 in the neck. Sounds like a monster and I'm playing it again for the Kiss band.

It's got binding over the frets and rock solid vol/tone knobs and a very tough original 3-way toggle switch. I've done the Ace stutter on it about a zillion times and it's still going strong.

It was my first guitar once I decided I was serious about playing.

What's the story on that unique guitar?

i was looking thru internet and i've found this guitar for sale.I liked the look of it and wanted to experiment witha 12 string electric.I did order it and there it was.The neck is wide(the fretboard is 6 cm wide), great finish, the tuners work well, the pickups too. It's made by Infinity guitars,i've bought another one for a friend of mine, it did cost 150 €(from Germany). With certain strings and certain effects, it sounds like an harp, i like it very much, great value for money. If you want, i can put a more detailed pic.

The hondo looks great much more than in the pic, has 2 dimarzio, doesn't sound so good, but i like it anyway

Its Genuine Chinese Original...LOL, no way in hell i would do that to an original, i only use it for one number and the big smoke solo when we play, its got a real Di-marzio fitted in the bridge and real Grover tuners and i had the neck and intonation done so it goes ok for what it is, looks impressive.

LOL Vic, Jeff who? Watson ???? Haha

Rick, look a little closer at that beast ....... The toggle is busted back into the body, the body is cracked in half (length wise) , the neck was cracked on the back side , and the pick gaurd was busted among other
"custom alterations " LOL Funny how the pic doesn't really show the true nature of all the damage.
HMMMMMM ?? Might be a lesson in there somewhere ?? ; - P

I am assuming that the guitar was busted by someone on stage and that is why he had it ???
That is just a guess though...

If it had been in salvagable condition I might have offered him $50 bucks cash money for it !!!

I don't have any Les Paul Style Guitar, but I'm thinking of buying a Gibson Ace Frehley Budokan for months. What price do you think would be correct for a mint Budokan (not the aged-model) ?

The one that makes me hesitate is a Gibson Budokan. Its price is around 2750 US $.
I tried it. Those Di Marzio pick-ups and the richlite touch, I don't know... I'm not used of Gibson guitars, so it's difficult for me to compare with another Gibson model. I think it would be more reasonable, better and less expensive to have a Gibson with P90 or classic humbuckers, but this one is the official Ace guitar!
I wouldn't dare to buy that kind of guitar on e-bay, because there are so many chinese copies, so I feel this is a unique opportunity.
