Post Pictures of Your Fender Axes Here! :o)

Here's my 3 Fenders which are all highly modified to get them dialed in to where I like them. Fender's need work for my tastes but once you get the work done they can be sweet guitars.

I don't have any Fender's myself. The closest I have is a Charvel with three singles and a pick guard.

It's kind of why I bought it, to have something Fenderish.

The Yellow and Black are both scalloped. It's kind of cool to have. I wouldn't want every neck scallopped ala Yngwie but it's cool to have a few for a change of pace.

Rick, yes the Yellow one.

Ankh, what can you share about your Red Casio Strat? It looks like you could modify the signal to a virtual tone cornocopia? How do you like that guitar?

The red casio strat it's really like a stratocaster, it was made by the same factory tha made the first series of squiers from the first 80's, the roland guitar that looked like a strat, the ibanez stratocaster knockoffs, the guitar itself is very well built, even the trem feels nice.I've switched the pu for better ones, also with the shadow hb i can reproiduce faithfully the sound of ten different pickups( it has an onboard eq and preamp).

The MIDI part has thre switches:
one for selecting guitar, MIDI or both.
One for selecting normal, octave up/octave down
One for selecting noraml, chromatic or program change function.

My own is the 510 model , it doesn't have the inbuilt sounds like the 380.
Since it uses a magnetic pickup and not a piezo, and also since it is from the 80's it doesn't track well very fast passages, but it is very nice for layering and also normal passages. You can modify some parameters of the individual string volumes and response. It has a normal guitar ooutput, a MIDI output, a plug for a 9 volt adapter and the battery holder for a 9 volt battery.

here you can find more info about it:
http://jpsongs.com/troubadortech/casmgtr.htm
I hope i've explained it well, Sorry for any mistakes or for being boring..

Wooooooooh, EMG's on a Strat!
Why do you want t take them out if you have 2 other Strats that are equiped to deliver the standard strat sound?

Nice guitars Tazz :-)

Welcome tazz888,
Leave those guitars alone. The one with the EMG's reminds me of Vito Bratta. He started with ESP's with EMG pickups, then Steinberger guitars, then actually played Fenders equipped with that pickup configuration towards the tail end of White Lion.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!!!

I want to put the Plus back to original with the Blue, Gold, Red lace sensors it came with. I have the entire pickguard packed away and ready to go back on.

I have a bunch of other geets that can fill in for it.... Charvel USA San Dimas Tele w/JB/59's, ESP Eclipse 2 w/ emg's, ESP Viper w/ blackouts, 05 Les Paul Std and 3 Dean ML's.

If I do decide to keep the emg's in it I will change the pickguard. The pearloid just makes it look way to much like Kirk Hammet's.

I got a collection of Fender Coronado II both guitar and basses in the Wildwood finish. I picked them up in the early 90s for less than $200 each. Pretty sick guitars.. they actually pumped the dye into the living trees as they were growing, then cut them down and the wood was stained. Maybe not the most eco guitar ever made. lol

I love the sound, even though the pick ups are weird. I put in some Gemini P90s and a CC pick up to give them a better dynamic (also a PAF too), but I put back the original pick ups for now as I don't play.

Thats the only Fenders I have or had.

They have all the strat sound but way better. Such a great forgotten guitar . The bass is even better. Ed Roman loves them too. They were selling for 300 bucks 3 years ago. Still very cheap.

It might have had a behind the nut lock on it Kev? There are a couple of holes next to the truss rod opening. I don't recall fenders having a cover at the end of their truss rod! Just the bullet! Apart from the ulgy headstock and STUPID pickups, this could have sold more! Is this the only 24 fret Fender other than "The STRAT"??

The locking nuts are as normal on a strat but the one in this picture has had them removed. The pickups are too close together for me but they do sound awesome. The bass looks less strange and ed Roman declared it the best bolt on bass ever made. It does blow away those other fender basses in my opinion.

NGD (again?!!)

As some of you may know, I just got back from NY (and had a great time - good shopping, and good pizza! )

Was sooo close to buying a Charvel So-Cal in white (Japanese), but it was the same price as in the UK so settled for this one in the end. Bought it from Rudy's Music on W 48th st. Sam Ash opposite = very pushy!

2011 Olympic White USA Standard strat, loving it so far! Risked it going through "nothing to declare" and sneaked off home free

Vic,

I'm sure you're very disappointed that I didn't get a Charvel from the land of Charvels, but you know I only visited the music stores on 48th, and ALL charvels there were Japanese! Fear not though, I tried the white So-Cal like I said (looked a lot like Jake E Lees strat/charvel thingy), and I'm probably going to buy it in the next couple of months (guitars...a bad addiction)

The Strat cost $1000 minus tax, and seeming as I didn't declare it I, that equates to around £640. US Strats here start at £975 8)

yeah. it was Fender's attempt to get into the 80s along with the Performer. They were supposed to be made in the States but Fender had not set up their us workshop so it was japanese made. I think they are great guitars though. Are old friend Ed Roman loved them.

Okay, it not actually a Fender, but here is some pics of my latest edition..
A year or so ago, I purchased an old Kramer Striker 300st basically for the original non-fine tuning Floyd
that was on it. Then I decided to rebuild the guitar as a project. Here are a few pics of what it was originally and what it has become.

The original Kramer as it was:
