Strat Refin

most of you know what condition my Squier Strat is in, picture below. i plan on refinishing it completely, filling the holes and painting it a different color, it will be documented below, it probably wont start till october since my strat wouldnt fit in the car on the way back to Nebraska, so my aunt has to bring it when she visits, any tips? this picture was before i put the black pickguard on it

van halen influenced, whats the easiest way to strip the poly paint job, whats the easiest way to install a floyd, bushings or wood screws like in the early 80s guitars?

its kind of looking like a bum on the street but when randolph and mortimer are through she is going to look a million bucks.

The Goal, Inca Silver paint, vintage style single coil in the neck, bridge pickup from top picture, id say that looks pretty fuckin cool.

I'm not a fan of the standard white pickguards that come on Strats. Do you have any interest or have you considered buying a cool after market designer pick guard to dress the guitar up to the max?

Yes R.E.S. - I agree that mint pick guards look cool on Strats especially if they have a scalloped maple fret board :-)

its actually a cream pickguard, the pickguard im going to get has an angled bridge pickup
