I have never seen a BLUE guitar that I have wanted.
Are there any colors that you cannot stand seeing on guitars ?

PINK (oh wait i have 2) ORANGE

gotta admit I love ace's blue/silver "sunburst" les paul... should've had it in kiss.

The Ace guitar is cool. I like the silver/blue burst (It would look great with the Dynasty costume !!!!). I think it would have fit the Spaceman persona better.
Even though I love Cherry-burst Les Pauls, I thought Ace's black Les Paul looked cooler with his costumes.
Even with Tommy Thayer, I think this Explorer fits the image better than a vintage/burst Les Paul.




I'm guess I'm leaning towards solid colors for this thread though.

I had that issue! From around Dec. '86 or Jan. '87 I believe... right at the beginning of my "need for speed" brought on by VVI and Racer X.

Now I need a different kinda speed...

Blue is hot on the runways of Paris this season rick.

I agree rick, only rickenbackers look ok in blue.

Yellow is not a color for me either. Black, Brown. Orange, copper, brass and err err err another color are for me

Dino, The exception being any color in HUGE metal-flake.

I like midnight blue. Marina bay blue, heavenly blue, duck eg blue, allure blue, Labrador blue, dock of the bay blue, Palladian blue, hazy blue, blue veil , marsh blue , Woodlawn blue, blue azzure, rockabilly blue, techno blue, skydance blue, phantom blue , batseye blue and French blue.. all other blues .. forget it.

I don't own any blue guitars. I bought an 86 Model 6 in blue but it was destined for a refin in black. Still not finished!!

Didn't bk use a blue charvel on animalize your. I think very dark blue is cool looking.

Yep! Charvel Model 2. I wanted it so bad when I was in high school! Now,meh!

NOT Model 2! A Custom USA Charvel. The Model 2 was made in Japan in 86 as the cheap and cheerful replacement for guitars like that one.

In 87 it got a Floyd and was even better. The Model series were great guitars and got even better again in 89 when they got the toothpaste logo and more improved hardware like Schaller made Floyds.
