Local luthier supplies Hiscox, and they are really nice - from an aesthetic point of vote anyway, can't comment on the durability. Looks better than the SKB cases I got from Fender and Charvel.

Yeah, had one for years for my Fernandez LP. Very good case for a LP guitar.

I don't think I've ever seen a G&G LP case before.

I have been told the Hiscox are the most durable. They are very light. The cheapest one is about $120 and then their slightly thicker one is $155 and then they have a really sturdy for $250 . But I have been told the cheapest one is more durable and shock proof than the G&G cases, but I like the vintage look of G&G.

I like G&G cases for strat shaped guitars, love the ones that came with my Jackson's or Charvels but like the new SKB cases they are doing now too.

When I bought my Hiscox in the 90s there was only the one type and it wasn't cheap, some only know about that one. Didn't realise there were cheaper ones now.

Hiscox and SKB types are good for gigging musos, lugging them with other gear.

No idea, but they are all usually shaped and not just rectangular. LP's are also thicker.

please check out the heastock/neck joint if you use a normal case. The es paul shaped guitars have a different angle and so this could be affected whrn you close the case if they are not very spacious.A stratocaster sits mostly on the body only,LP's are different.
