This one is taken in the studio a few years ago, during the recording with another band I was in at that time :)

Yeah, Eric Singer is my biggest influence when it comes to drummers! I began to play both drums and guitar when i was 9-10 years old or something. Then later on when I was around 11 I bought the MTV Unplugged video, and got completely obcessed with Eric's magnificant drumming! After that I started to play along to the cd almost every day, trying to copy and learn every single drumfill on the album. Since that day he's still remains one of my favourite drummers, and the one who is most responsible for my own way of drumming.

About my setup: I have tried many different setups during the years, but I have always got back to that Singer-inspired setup with two straight tomtoms infront of the snare and straight cymbals on both sides.

I just remembered one small detail about my Paiste China Cymbals. Like I told you, they belonged to the Swedish drummer Jamie Borger from TREAT and Talisman in the 80's - and he later on sold them to another Swedish drummer called Johan Koleborg who then sold them to a friend of mine. Are you following me? Good!

Here's a snapshot of TREAT from Monsters of rock in Schweinfurt, Germany 1988. You see the 2 cymbals attached to Jamie's kit? Now take a closer look on the drumkit wrapped in plastic behind him.

Image

See it? Hell yeah, two of my cymbals have been just a few meters away from Eric Carr's drumkit! :D
