I was checking out the Metal licks Video and noticed no Logo on the Carvin one the first half and one on the second half...

He took logo off after he was having issues with carvin. It was vin for a while. I spoke on the phone to carvin in 88 and 89 about it and unless they told me wrong they only made one.

Thinking back it must have sounded odd a 13/14 year old calling carvin on the phone. I must have been a weird kid.

Yeah, Vinnie changed his whole look for the second half of the video. Must have been a big gap in production.

So by then he had turned it into a "Vin" guitar.

The second half of the video he was wearing the look for the ASG tour. And the same as in the rehearsal pics that were floating around both had the full carvin logo the first part looked as if it was completely missing. I dont know the time line for when it was built, thought it might be a prototype in the first video.

In the second half you can see the full logo, so I guess it was covered in the first half kinda odd.

Maybe he had a contract with some other guitar maker and had to cover headstock .

yeah and it wouldn't surprise me if all his vv's are in different colors now without original logo decals.
