Hey! Greets from sunny England. ☺

Post by Kathyrindhoeps »

Hello all, I've come over all Vinnie obsessed over the last couple of weeks. I was turned on to the man about 1986 when the Invasion album came out and just wanted his brutal guitar sound. OK the solos don't really fit some of the songs but I was so impressed by the raw guitar tones. The songs are still touching me in my soul and having listened to them again after somewhat of a long break I realise they are still deep in my being. I've played in some bands and even tried to emulate his sound, the playing being mostly, totally beyond my arthritic digits. Really think it's best left alone really. I admire anyone who can pull it off. Contrary to popular opinion, I wasn't a massive fan of Slaughter'so vocals on the second album but y'know it's all subjective. Apologies for the overuse of "I" This forum and some of the info I have gleaned in my quest to know more has been revelatory. I don't enjoy people slagging the guy off, especially third party know it alls who never had anything to do with him. Not that I'd know who they are. It's all a bit sad the way it's gone for him, I think. Anyway just hearing the songs again has piqued my interest in spanking the plank once more and I'm enjoying jamming along to the songs. I love em. Hope you've managed to stay awake. Cheers all: Pete. :D

Welcome Pete, tell us about your guitars and gear in the Gear section, that would be cool.

More gitboxes, the merrier!

Yo, Pete!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

Welcome! :3
I'm friends with Robert Fleischman and John Regan and it's really cool. You have no idea how much I freaked out when they actually became my friends. XD
*Be warned, I'll make puns whenever it fits.
