Hello from Germany

My first post on the “where freedom rocks” forum.
I´m delighted by this forum and all you loyal Vinnie fans.
I think I´m not up-to-date with all what happened around Vinnie the last years but unfortunately it seems that I only got bad news from him.
An official fan forum where fans have to pay 500,00$ for their registration, violence against his wife, dead dogs in sealed containers… oh my goodness!

Now here´s a short musically introduction of my myself: Although I like Kiss I can´t say that I´m such a great Kiss fan than many of you are. I was into black music in the early 80´s and became a fan of hardrock in the middle of the 80´s. Yngwie Malmsteen put a spell on me and from that time on I was looking for more guitarists who played their own style.
Of course I found one in Vinnie Vincent and I´m here to remember the 80´s and the good times when Vinnie was shredding like hell.
So thanks for this wonderful place and I´m looking forward having a great time here.

My english isn´t perfect. Please forgive me the grammatically mistakes.

I sold the charvel because I didn´t have enough time to play as much as I wanted but I must confess that I regret it. I´m thinking about buying a new guitar.

I like the charvel avenger. Anyone have v suggestions for her? I like the late 80s carvin ultra v that the guy from roxx gang had. Must play like vinnies carvin I bet.

I liked my Charvel Avenger doublev but you know I was involved in some time-consuming projects so I didn´t find time to play and I lost my interest. I sold my Charvel and my Ibanez accoustic and now after one year I really regret it. Probably I will buy a new accoustic first because my accoustic playing is better than my electric playing which is very poor.

vickie and many others used to try and set up live chat sessions with vv 4 years ago and we would wait hours to find out if he would show up. We didn't know if he even read the pyro board back then but now we all know he did.

I remember this times very well. We met every saturday in the chatroom and for me in Europe it was at 11.00 p.m. We invited Vinnie again and again to come into the chatroom and waited all night long.
But although Vinnie never showed up it always was a lot of fun, wasn´t it?
I really admire you doublev for the thousands of posts you did on Vinnie forums and for all the time you spend for investigations about Vinnie. We all should be very glad to have you.

thanks Vickie, but I don't deserve it. We did have great times with teej, drew, tommy, sammy etc. (sorry I can not remember who else used to chat with us on the pyro board.

if the old aol messages are to go buy he seemed to have fallen out with drew and tommy which maybe one reason he didn't join the chat.

Welcome Vickie, greetings from London!

Shame you had to sell the Charvel Avenger, they look really nice. I just bought a V yesterday, waiting for it to arrive. I'll post pics up when it's here, but a big giveaway is that the colour is "Eerie Dess". ooooh!

Oh yes doublev, we had great times with this guys. I remember Tommy drove to Vinnies house several times and took photos of it (I still have them) and talked to Vinnies neighbor. And he bought that black/red Charvel doubleV which he sold later.

I missed the part when Vinnie finally appeared. Did he always watch the forum and the chat? And what do you think was between him and Drew and Tommy?

I think I have photos of my charvel but first I have to find out how to post pictures here. I even didn´t manage to put an avatar under my name. I´m getting old...

Allo. Welcome to the forum.

This is the place for bad news. I want to read about the '80s music too. I hear enough gossip about regular folk. Eventually even music becomes part of the grapevine. :(

vickie, vinnie was talking to drew and tommy with aol messenger and fell out with them. i dont think they knew he was really vinnie.
its clear he was reading the board. i know for sure he was reading the pyro board in the last few years and then the dv when it opened.

Doublev, do you know for what reason Tommy and Drew fell out with Vinnie?
Anyway, it sounds strange to me why Vinnie should leave all his loyal fans alone because of the dispute with Drew and Tommy.
I´m sure there must have been other reasons why he never talked to us.
Do you think he is watching this forum, too?
And what´s up with the doublev forum now? When I visited the page the last time, it wasn´t possible to register there, even not for 500,00 $.

Slayer, I was overburdened with my work and the things I wanted to do in my free time. Maybe because of that reason I temporary lost my interest in music and so I left the forum and gave up my myspace account.
But now I´m relaxed and happy that I´m welcome here again.

I really don't recall a gun being pointed at anyone's head forcing them against their free will to come to a place to read bad news. You've got free will, use it.

Yes, when vv invited most people to his board for love and peace everyone was positive. then half were actually not let in and 99% were booted in a few weeks.

So his board must be empty now!

How many people of this forum joined Vinnies board at that time?

Re: Hello from Germany

by doublev2
not sure, maybe 40 and then it quickly dropped to about 20 and then it looks like about 8 to 10 real members ( i would say all but 3 were ex members of this board)

I don´t know what it is but I´m sure it isn´t a real forum anymore.

Too bad that Vinnie is treating his fans that way.

yeah. he does not know what he is doing. he wants all his fans to speak his words or else. its really sad.
