Also talks a bit about Kryst the Conqueror (Misfits).

Did Vinnie ever submit those songs? How did not some of them get taken up? Forbidden? Love it!!!!

I think Forbidden is an aquired taste, to be honest. I like it now, but first several times I heard it I thought, yuck, what cheesy 80s pop fluff. I used to really look down upon the 80s music when I was younger. Whatever the case may be, hit songs always need to grab you and not let go. Tears had that with "of all the girls I had at my knees you're the only one who could bring me to these tears" - both lyrically and musically it just shoots right through the heart. That's why it got snatched up by several guys. Back on The Streets generated a lot of interest in Vinnie too. But Forbidden is like something that needs really strong production and vocal performance to make it work. It doesn't necessarily shine on it's own right out of the gate in any of the demo forms it had.

You do have to overlook the production values of Forbidden, being recorded in Vinnie's house but I hear the potential, and love Jeff's vocal, the shuffle and groove on the song and a great chorus. Oh well.

Back On The Streets sure got a lot of attention, but like Hide Your Heart, nobody really had a hit with it, for some reason.

This remix edit is pretty awesome
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.
