Vinnie saving KISS on COTN with "Not For The Innocent demo on Creatures 40th Box Set"

Still funny how some of the big time Vinnie haters try and deny Vinnie saving KISS. Or that COTN doesn't sound like LIU (except for the toned down drums and Vinnie's guitar getting the showcase).

Of course, Vinnie didn't set the tone/direction of the album with his incredible songwriting. They only recorded SIX of his songs for the album. No telling how many other written and not even recorded for the album. It's criminal Not For The Innocent wasn't included. It would have been the perfect title and lead off single for the album.

It would let everyone know pussified KISS was gone and the new metal KISS was here.

Thank goodness for Vinnie and him setting the direction. Without it, KISS' last album would have been full of garbage like I'm A Legend Tonight and they soon would have been dropped from the label and gone solo.

Haters will always hate and they will always attempt to change history and reality. Thankfully, we have proof that they are full of shit.

It's cool to hear this demo but I do prefer the finished song, it's a better version overall. It is interesting to hear Paul singing, but he's not suited for this.

Kind of off topic but have you guys pre picked a scapegoat for when the new music does not come out or will you wait until the backlash starts before finding someone else to blame?

It'd be really cool if Vinnie and the Warrior recorded a proper album of everything they demoed with THIS sound.

I wonder what's up with Guitarmageddon and that interview in the studio at listening party.

Who made the money off those Warrior demos being released?

It is just mindblowing that this wasn't on the 1982 album.

This would have been the perfect lead off single. It would have also made a better album title. NOT FOR THE INNOCENT

MJJ did alot of things wrong. How he blew this is beyond me.

That version of NFTI should have been the lead off single/video. Followed by Killer and then I Love It Loud.

That version sux ass compared to the LIU version. Pauls' vocal "riffing" at the end is hideous. The breakdown into the chorus sounds messy and makes the chorus seem rushed.

The playing itself is nowhere near as good as LIU. There it's in it's final form, and you can tell where it was headed, but was not finished or ready here.

Alot of people certainly disagree with that. They prefer it in the original form in the demo from 1982. The solo was better on the demo!

You can sure bet they weren't HUMMING what he was supposed to play. Pure Gene nonsense.

What's really funny is how many KISS fans swore that it wasn't from COTN. They would swear it was done long after COTN recording sessions or during LIU sessions.

Some may, the vast majority wouldn't.
