Vinnie Breaks Guitar onstage?

Not sure if this has been spotted before, but I noticed something random watching the Rio performance of "I Love it Loud" today.

If you start watching video at the 1:37 mark during the solo outro, Vinnie sweeps his right arm back across the guitar, and appears to take a couple of chunks out of the fin:

If you look at the fin after the incident, you can see it appears to be damaged:

To watch the segment in slow motion, pause the video at 1:37, then you can move forward or backwards frame by frame using your "," and "." keys.

Clearly those early Jacksons needed some fortification!

Tape and picks? Part of his costume?
Or, maybe, the 10$ he got from Gene and Paul that flew away?

Yeah, I agree with you tuko. Tape and picks.

But well spotted anyway, aero. 8)

Well that's not so exciting in that case!

But I think you're probably right looking again at other footage from the show. Odd place to park your picks though.

Yes, it works take a lot more than that to take a piece out of a USA Jackson, or most any guitar.

The KISS costumes are not super tough in that way either, just made for looks.

The cuffs would be pretty soft.
