I can see a threatened Star trying to take the wind out of Vinnie's comeback by making this weekend about Kiss instead of Vinnie.
We all know about GS Vault past and future guests so the rumors sound more than plausible but the hype and announcement could've waited until after Vinnie has his day in the sun.
If there is an announcement today, do you think it was for the reason I specified ?

absolutely. both paul and gene are well versed in sinking to low political games of shunning. however, that COULD backfire. any music news journalists and news websites covering announcements could very well footnote what's going on this weekend in ATL as well.
it would be better for them to wait on an announcement, as it may get tagged on the end with Expo information happening. P&G wouldn't want that.

Hopefully, by the time Kiss Kruise 10 (or X) comes around, Vinnie's made friends again and they can make it Kiss Kruise VV instead of X
Or maybe we'll have to wait until cruise 55?

no doubt it will be an opportunity for them to guest in each other's live sets. maybe next year, creatures of the deep 2 kruise with our boy. ain't prone to happen but would be awesome to witness nonetheless.

It is actually yawn-worthy and pathetic that it was even announced now.
