David that is selling it seems a decent guy and the guitar IS in mint condition! Had a few chats to him this year. He actually owns two Jackson VVVs!!!! His purple/silver was his main player for years and he says is a little beat up AND he'll probably never sell that one.

This is one of the twin silver/black VVVs that where made at the same time in 1997.

Last one built was the cracked mirror one in 2005 for Brett who owned mine before he sold it to Trevor. But the latest builds before Brett's that I can find are the twin silver/blacks in 1997!

Brett's mirror.

I was going to buy one in December 2001 and they wanted 1900 bucks new. Decided against it last minute.

I don't think it will sell. Drews 80s one didn't.
I think 3000 is more realistic.

I will admit I know nothing about guitars. I attempted to learn to play an electric guitar and gave up. Regret selling it to this very day.

But that baby, looks to be a good 3k-4k. JUST assuming, remember. If I was rich, would buy.

There is no market. You walk into most Guitar Center stores and they are selling CHINESE guitars.

$6,000.00 is laughable.
$2,500.00- $3,000.00 TOPS.

People want comfort in a guitar. Although it looks cool, I tend to grab the most comfortable guitar when learning parts.
The VVV is a stage guitar meant for standing or sitting with a strap on.

STRAP ON

Realistically yes 1500 is what it should sell for

Its market is us and Jackson collectors. If it started at$1500 it would go up from there and we'd see what we or a collector, who does not care for Vinnie, will pay.

I'd love it but I'm not in the market for the price it would sell for.

It's a rare Jackson shape, it will never be a $1500 guitar on the open market, people will just keep them.

Your best bet would be to find one where the seller does not know what they have and sells directly to you.

It's slightly different to vinnies. Just two volume controls in this one. Not sure why but non of the few jscksons since vinnies were different configurations.

I'd be willing to start with $2-$2.5K if he would entertain offers.

Nearly cried when I saw this (hey...I was a kid! Ok?). Peter Davidson wasn't a bad doctor at all but suffered a few meh stories. Still better then the absolute garbage they're calling Dr Who at the moment!

1500 - 2000 - 3000 - 6000...
I've just read there are more than 10 millions of millionaires in the USA, Japan, Germany, China, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Canada, Italy, Australia.
No Vinnie fan among those 10 millions that would spend a little piece of their huge fortune for a Jackson VV?

Anyway, that's good for us, it still keeps VV models affordable, even though 6000 is too much. I hope one day Jackson will do those again, at RR1 prices. Why did they stop doing them around 2002? Is it because of Vinnie? Does anybody have an idea of the kind of contract Jackson had with Vinnie?

New Dr who awful. Made by idiots.
Old Dr awful but good.
Steven Spielberg started a feature Dr who in late 80s with alan Rickman but only got to testing stage which my lab tech worked on.

As a build the VVV is difficult to sand and paint. I seem to remember Jackson not being impressed with how much work was involved. For that reason they won't ever come out at RR1 pricing.

Tom, what do you say about the build process?

There is a point where, if he is aware of it, a Jackson collector will buy it.

I would love it much cheaper even though the colours don't do it for me.

I know I should buy and sell things on eBay, but I don't feel ready...
I also bought six guitars this year, and I'm still under the charm of the gold Rhoads I found lately. Finally, if I bought this, I wouldn't finish my self-made double-V I began to work on...

Too many reasons not to buy this nice guitar!
