Favorite Vinnie solo
The entire first VVI album.
Off of ASG, "Ashes To Ashes" and "Breakout" are the standouts for me at the moment.
With Kiss, "All Hell's Breakin' loose"
Out of the unreleased music ,the solo to "Over You" slays me.
I could only imagine the lyricism of melody and destruction Vinnie could pull out if he soloed to "Maybe It's The Rain"

would need to think about this but yeah the whole first album - lol.
Cruisin' downtown, Shakin' her love, Is that babe talkin' to me, Felt my heart drop, Women can't stop, Girl has got me on my knees, Baby baby babe don't make me wonder, Won't you let me in, She said - see you later, Shot down, I'll be back again

Creatures of the Night - War Machine
Invasion - Shoot You Full of Love
All Systems Go - Ashes to Ashes (the original solo not what ended up on the album)
Guitars From Hell - Invincible
Euphoria - Full Shred
I would still love to hear Brainsaw, Ride the Serpent and Cockteaser

Re: Favorite Vinnie solo
There is something about the raw-ness of the guitar in the Warrior version of "Baby Oh Why" that ... as Vinnie would say DEVESTATES ME!
It's one of my absolute fave songs ... I dig everything about it!
I have been known to repeat this song for an hour.
Eh, I'll be back to properly adjust the YouTube video link ... once I figure out how it is done.

In no particular order:
Time of Year, not his fastest solo but I still love it.
Gypsy (soto version)
Invincible
Love Kills
Back on the Streets
And in terms of just guitar parts I absolutely love the Pedal steel in "Over You"
Ashes to Ashes

Right now i dig the Deeper and deeper guitar solo off ASG. Starts "sober" and then goes wild pure Vinnie style

Oh yes! The feedback especially on "No Substitute" is perfectly hypnotizingly beautiful! The solo is definitely outstanding, to say the least!

YOUNG AND WASTED
NOT FOR THE INNOCENT
FITS LIKE A GLOVE
i love all that Vinnie does, but the LIU album is very special to me and as a guitar player, learning these note for note has been a great experience...his approach on this album and COTN is very similar...Vinnie branches off into 'knock the wind outta ya / melt your face' on VVI, which is great, but is a very arduous task to take on. I have tried tabbing it out and began to loose my mind!!! The tab book of VVI is all wrong lead-wise...the rhythm stuff is pretty accurate.
Once I have the leads up to speed on the LIU stuff, I will post them on my youtube page.

.
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
