The ultimate Vinnie Vincent band

Post by Genebaby »

Ok guys, clearly as time goes by some things are no longer possible, so for whatever reason, be it current abilities or personality clashes from the past, the Vinnie Vincent Invasion we knew won't be resurfacing should Vinnie ever venture out again. That ship has sailed, it's just too late.

With that in mind, who do you think could be/should be in Vinnie's backing band at this time?

the ultimate Vinnie band is Vinnie on his own.

I would like to see an old timer on drums like Carmine or if not Tommy Aldridge.

I really would like to hear VV do some non shredding stuff too. We have barely heard the tip of the iceburg in my opinion. maybe bring in his friend Jack on drums for a recording. As for anyone else, I would say let VV handle everything else (but not he drums).

Ha ha Skwint, that's a good one. Maybe Eric Singer on drums though....lol....

My intention for this is for live shows, not necessarily recording, we know Vinnie can cover the bass there too and program some drums if needed.

Vinnie with Gene, Paul and Eric would be pretty cool.

Nah, not for me for a Vinnie show, it would be a backward step. The VV era of Kiss was fantastic, new and exciting, but what Vinnie went on to do left them standing.

I would love to see this kind of line up but it would have to be a Kiss show, Kiss material, not anything VV did without them.

As to his own live line up now? Hmm, still thinking about that…

yeah i know i was just taking the piss.

For a recording as was said - Vinnie could do most of it himself - im sure we have a dcrummer here on VVFF who could help out.

I wish Graham could still do it. Recent clips prove otherwise. I love the Rainbow album and the first few Alcatrazz albums.

Spontanious thought:

Vinnie Vincent - Lead guitar/Vocals
Virgil Donati - Drums
Robbie Crane - Bass/Vocals
Derek Sherinian - Keyboards
Jeff Scott Soto - Lead vocals

Any comments on that? :)

I believe he may have been wearing a VVI shirt the last show I saw him play with Yngwie.

I am not sure how good he is now but Nick Menza used to be great and the guy who replaced him in Megadeth was killer too. Nick Menza's dad is a jazz legend too.
