sorry to rain on your parade, but it seems that the Nightmare thing was a prank a fan played on him.
The fan created a fake gmail account and sent him a mail and-stating that he was a rep of New Line Cinema- asked Vincent for a VVI style song for the future Nightmare reboot.
The whole thing was a practical joke, you can check it out on the kissforum

What world would the producers of nightmare on elm Street in the year 2024 actually commission a song that needed lawyers to negotiate ? Haha. They just make an offer and you accept or don't, any negotiations or lawyers putting their 2 cents in for an artist like Vinnie who brings zero to the film is such a joke. They will offer the standard licensing. Also why would they risk commissioning a song from scratch with a guy who hasn't put a song out since the mid 90s and has a poor track record. The music supervisor would be at risk of loosing their job if song bad or doesn't deliver and how would they know what vv is capable of ? It's a joke

Yes if you were commissioning Lana del Rey it's worth it but Vinnie? Even kiss itself would be a risk they probably wouldn't take.

Exactly. What is Vinnie thinking? If this WAS a real offer, you don't get your lawyer to killl the deal for you, you say YES, and you send them your best song from the KISS style album he already wrote!

But of course, how could it be real. Vinnie hasn't done a thing for so long, well, only bad things, there's not a universe where he's being asked to have a song on a movie soundtrack in 2024, based in reality.
