Where would Mark have gotten a Pink and Silver Jackson? Though it is remotely possible it seems unlikely so I would guess that he sourced the guitar from rareelectricguitars.com?

He has been known in recent history to play a few Vinnie-related guitars.

I took a half decent screen shot straight on and blew it up. There doesn't seem to be a "Made in USA" or "Custom Shop" decal after the Jackson logo...which itself, isn't a big logo.
But, the corners of the shadow fins (where they meet the main fins) don't look to have the classic rounding found in a CNC body made from a single piece of timber that all the Chinese built ones have. Curious!

He was only playing the one song with that band as a guest appearance so it might have been something a fan let him borrow for the one song. Doesn't Vinnie own the only "real" one?

I could almost guarantee that a fan brought it to be signed and Mark played it.
I can guarantee that it isn't an FU.
Mark(and even Dana) expressed remorse and praise a few years back about Vinnie.
They came up to me many times throughout the day to share stories, didn't talk shit, and were genuinely appreciative of me being a fan of VVI more than Slaughter.
And a year or so before that gig, Mark played my VVV in Sharon,Pennsylvania at a Slaughter show.

Backline was provided at both of those shows by Hubbard Music, who I worked for quite a bit.

Kev, not all Jackson VVV's are the same size, strangely enough.

Andrews with the snakeskin paint is rather larger than the others, which is unusual, but I guess it was custom ordered that way. There is usually a set size for a body shape but if you're ordering a custom guitar you can spec what you want and tell Jackson to make your Soloist oversize, or whatever, to suit you. Perhaps the guy that first ordered it was larger and wanted a guitar to suit?

A Cool dude who is conscientious of his actions. Aware of his surrounding & how that may effect a guitar that a fan has been kind enough to let him play.

Ok, I just watched it finally. That is no Jackson, it's a Chinese copy, but Mark certainly makes it sing, and is playing well.

I agree. As someone mentioned above, Mark strikes me as a guy who is aware of his surroundings, his celebrity and the consequences of his actions. I've never seen him bitch or moan in recent years.

This was an Expo - he would be fully aware of the irony/connection with the guitar and did it because it would be a cool thing to do in front of hardcore fans who would appreciate it too.

I interpreted it as a homage to his history - and let's face it, without VVI, there would have been no Slaughter.

Mark isn't petty.
He really does choose to concentrate on the good from VVI.
He has even said that he would love to see Vinnie be an active participant in the music business again.
