Potential Vinnie Vincent OD/Distortion Pedal in the works!!

I heard in a recent interview with Vinnie that he is potentially going to be creating a Signature pedal! I wonder who the builder would be, and if it would be more of a boost\Overdrive or a full on distortion pedal. I’m guessing a hot pink exterior. But who knows!? Just a heads up for you guys.

Cool, it's good to know he's thinking of kinds of things to do, like musical equipment.

Something to help get that signature Vinnie tone!

One of my preferred pedals is a Boss overdrive/distortion combination pedal.
I haven't seen many guitarists use it.
Being able to mix both together really allows a player to find that sweet spot.

Nice!!! Never tried that one! Never tried that one! I have the old SD-1 going into the front of my silver jubilee right now that I like a lot. On principle even if redundant I would have to give one of these Vinnie’s a Whirl if it comes out!

This is all I use. 20 years old and still sounds great. Easy to carry and use. That O/D pedal would be in this unit too! No doubt you can pick one of these pretty cheap these days.

Nice!!!! Bet that sounds awesome!
I am highly caught up on single pedals right now, at the very least as an excuse to “have more stuff” hahaha!! The new line 6 Helix FX is supposed to be killer....gets me thinking ugh.

I've got a bunch of pedals but I do prefer an all in one solution these days, it just makes things easier, especially when playing live.

Looks cool but doesn't sound very vinniesque... they should have put a hidden compressor inside

I like that idea!! My Keely 4-knob Comp would do the trick ;).

I'd be interested to play with one, to see what sort of sounds I could get out of it with the settings.

Still would be awesome to have a signed VV pedal in the collection....

Sounds great, even on YouTube. I'm gonna buy one. Less gain = more cut.

I want one cause it looks awesome, but he tone really isn't VV-ish. I can get a lot more VV-ish tones out of my Boss GT-10 with a Boss Pitch Shift RPS-10 in the chain.

Some cool endorsements http://protonepedals.com/product/unknow ... -overdrive
and I like Reeves Gabrels, (Hence I have four Fernandes Ravelle ) but again I can't see the Reeves Gabrels-ish tone .http://protonepedals.com/product/reeves ... ion-engine

I actually have a somewhat sizable collection of pedals I've acquired over the years, so getting this one was without a second thought. cool thing is you get 2 VV sigs with the limited signed version. Dennis of Pro Tone Pedals said earlier yesterday there's only 7 left available of the limited to 25 signed units. so, only 18 have been shipped. mine is #4. i can't speak for every users application, but it sounds pretty tuff & ballsy in front of a Marshall JVM or DSL. cheers!

Cool man, congratulations.

Are there any other demos of this anywhere? Would you be interested/able in doing a demo of the sound you get through an amp?

Good stuff.

I own no pedals apart from an old Wah and my old Boss GT5 unit. lol

I've got a bunch of abandoned pedals that I never really used, though I did try to put a pedal board together, but then I realised I didn't like to tap dance and just used a wah before moving to Line 6 stuff where all my sounds came at the touch of a button.

thanks. I haven't seen any other demos out there besides the one Dennis uploaded to YouTube. pedals to me are just tone building blocks, and it can be quite subjective HOW they are used, for example: into the front end (input) of the amp, thru the effects loop, or what order you have them in a serial chain. I've had multieffects processors before like Digitech, Boss, TC Electronics, and Line6, but always heard a lack in sound quality in them in comparison to analog boxes. that "tap dancing" fiasco can be defeated with a pro switcher, like the Voodoo Labs PX8 or other loop switching systems. that's what I use, and it's programmable with true bypass with 8 loops, plus midi control capability. it basically allows you to use analog pedals like you would in a multieffects processor. one click and you have a new chain, in whatever order you want. whenever I get around to setting up my cameras, and have had enough time to experiment with the VV pedal, I'll see if I can do a 5 or 10 minute run-through of what it's capable of. first impressions of it so far are very good with a couple Jackson guitars with EMGs thru Marshalls. one thing cool I've always found with analog distortion units is they stack well with analog gain circuits of tube amps. I'll stop the geeking now though. 🤣😂🤣

Cool, that Voodoo labs unit looks interesting, but when I was looking into it I didn't have major level touring artist money to set this stuff up, or the time to do it at gigs. These days my Line 6 channel switches my Marshall and provides effects as required, it's a great system.

I would love to hear this through the front of an amp, in the clean channel, to see what it can do that way, rather than a boost.
