I will also be signing the guitar near the AZ logo on the back of the headstock.
Thanks too, to all my fans here and especially Wolfi for being so patient with me
during this build. I'm deliciously close to finishing the guitar and will post more pics
as I complete it.
( Someone a while back did say that it looks good enough to eat.)

Thanks Wolfi. Here's the back of your headstock as of 06/30/2015.
I just have to clear coat it for protection and it's it's ready to get polished
and go for final assembly.
Info about the signature: It's a rub-on graphic image and it's my artistic signature
that I've been using on artwork etc. for many years. This rendition was
assembled in Illustrator, sized and printed on a plastic release sheet in multiples
then coated on the back side with an adhesive. Rubbing the graphic on the front
of the sheet with a plastic stylus transfers the graphic to the desired location.

Getting close to the completion of Wolfi's RR. Positioning parts for assembly, drilling mounting holes, etc.
Pickups arriving soon. Bridge SD-SH-4 / Neck SD-SH-2. Will wire it all up when the PU's come in.

Glad you like it Wolfi . . . .
The guitar looks very red in this photo because I shot it under overhead fluorescent lights but it's really an intense pink.
Yer gonna love it. I'll photo the details too as I complete the build.

I have a question that everyone can weigh in on: For Wolfi's RR I'm looking at Seymour Duncan pickups, an SH-2 Neck and SH-4 Bridge. I'm thinking that as they were introduced in the mid to late 70's that this is what Vinnie may have had in his pink RR. The only thing that I'm hesitant about is that they are made to look like they are actually from the 70's. Kind of well used if you will and I wonder how they will fit in with the brand spanking new look of the RR? Here's the info:
By the way I can get them both in all black.

One black (bridge) and one black/cream (neck), just like Vinnie's ? No cosmetic aging for me.

Great work! It was really nice to see the making of this guitar! Thanks!

The black/cream Seymour Duncan looks kind of motley. I wonder where it comes from. Black pick-ups look better, even though less vinnie-ish...

I've talked with the pickup girl at SD and she's going to set me up with an OEM account so I can get
their pickups at a good discount. Just a few details I have to put in place first to become a dealer basically.
She already has me down for the antiquity set (see Vinnie photo above) all black, no SD names like the photo
and I will get them as soon as I clear up the paperwork.

Finally . . . . I'm in with Seymour Duncan. The lady I'm dealing with there at first told me she needed my business license # so she could set me up. Don't have one, so I went a'lookin for one and discovered that since we live in an unincorporated area of the county we don't need one. So . . . I sent her a long email regarding this fact and she told me we can get along without it, and she set me up. How cool is that?
Also, the pickups are on the way and will be here in a day or two. So I can complete Wolfi's guitar and do the shipping thing again.
By the way, per the photo of Vinnie holding "The" guitar I posted a while back, both pickups are all black / no logos and that's how they're coming.

Update: Got the pickups and finishing parts installation.
The bridge PU has the SD logo on it but the neck is blank.
Wolfi, is that ok with you?

Tom, if I remember right the logo can be removed, possibly with tape or maybe just rubbing.

I think people have done it before to get the old-school look.

Hi Tom,
Hope you can remove the SD-logo, but if you can't do it, no problem! I'm fine with all you make :)

I'll try the suggestion from GB first but if there's any problem I'll order another one WO the logo and
use the logo one on something else. Will let ya know how it works out.

Update on the logo business. I checked it out and I'd rather not mess with it.
The logo is basically printed right into the material (used to be silkscreen on the surface,
now it's more high tech - sub surface printing process).
And I don't want it to look shabby so I'm going to order a new one WO the logo.

Ah, ok, looks like the old ones could be removed successfully.
