Tom was gracious enough to share these photographs of the build.
Tom, Did Vinnie see these photos at the time (USPS ?)or was it unveiled at the restaurant to him ?
How was the paint scheme decided upon ?

You're joking? Right?

Vinnie Vincent Vee!!!

No bevel on the backside of the fins! Is that because you didn't know they were, Tom?

I think that the bevels on the back are superfluous. Leave as much wood as you can on that guitar.

Birnie: The addition of the mini shadow fin on the headstock makes it 3.

Shramiac: You're correct on that one. I didn't know they were beveled on the back so I only did it on the front.
He never said a word about it either.

Pardon my French but "No Shit"

I hope no one buys it just so he doesn't get the $$$.
Or, if anyone does buy it I hope it's the Hard Rock Cafe.

I read in the auction catalog where the auction items are put on display for several days before, so I'm assuming that
all of the guitars and other related items will be displayed at the Hard Rock Cafe. That could be a good thing for
the guitar and maybe me too one way or another.

That Guitar is exquisite example of why one would turn to objectophilia.
Wish I had one :)

This VVV guitar seems to have the most acute angles of all existing VVVs. Very aerodynamic! I love it!

Mr Palecki,i did try to clear out some issues regarding the ownership of the Pear model, and that led to this(see towards the end of the thread............)

Kiss know about the auction and any money owed to them could come from the auction.

Hoping Vinnie will send Tom what he deserves for the build if it sells at auction. Better late then never! C'mon, fresh start!

Back in 92 I was trying to get some exposure in the custom guitar world so I built the 92 PEAR with that in mind.
Plus he told me that I could build and sell copies (which he now denies he said that) if I was so inclined. Only problem there
was that at the time no one was interested, and I had yet to learn what an ass he was/is. The newer 4 models are a far
different story.

Any reason the Floyd wasn't recessed Tom?

I have no idea now and at the time he never said anything about it not being recessed.
I also had no photos to go by then like I did in 2010 - Here's a photo of the silver/purple:

Thanks, Tom. The silver one's recess was obviously done when it got the re-spray from the original pink colour.

Those pickups look terrible on VV's guitar. I wonder what happened to them.

I see the pickup ring screws are all rusted. Maybe from a humid climate or sweaty hands.
Might have been sitting it the sun at one point too. Not stored properly?

Hi Dino,

As I don't know where it would be all I can say is, if you have a chance, go to the Hard Rock Cafe and take a look.
VV was an LA guy though so it might make sense that it might be there.
