AZG/VV Contracts

Post by poserboy71 »

Tom,

Did Vinnie have any contracts with you or was it a GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENT to make and sell the VVV AZG guitars ?
If there are old contracts, would you care to share them ?
Are you still bound to Vinnie? Did you mke more than 4 guitars for him ?
The reason I ask is because he changed the name on the headstocks from AZG to GUITARMAGEDDON.

I prefer not to show the actual contracts as they were pretty one sided in Vinnie's favor. I had worked before in my other business which serviced Silicon Valley in California on some rather tenuous contracts but never had a problem with anyone before. Having previously built a PEAR guitar for VV in 91-92 the outcome was fine between us. This last go around though turned out to be a very different story. All can say at this point is that he was a very different person.

I can imagine the contracts. Vinnie is a bad lawyer, most "legal" threats he spews are laughable in what he thinks he can demand. When the shoe is on the other foot he owes you nothing.

What is the status of the guitars now?
Does he have to return them to you?
When did you have contact with him last ?

The status of the guitars is "Lost in Space". I don't know where he is now either.

I don't believe the contracts would still be in play not to mention the fact that I reject them completely now.

Are the guitars gifts to Vinnie or was he supposed to return them after a certain amount of time?
We know that he kept a few guitars from other makers throughout the years that he wasn't allowed to keep.

Vinnie had one of his lawyers "SUGGEST" that I needed to have the guitars sent to V so he could create a "VIDEO" of himself playing, and in a sense "AUTHENTICATING" them. The lawyer also said in a stern manner that "IF I DIDN'T" send them that I would be "INTERFERING" with V's "BUSINESS". Was that a "NOT SO SUBTLE" threat?
First time I ever had something like that happen so I was intimidated enough to do so. In hindsight I shouldn't have done it. So, where's that video? Anybody here seen it yet?

Why Mr. Cusano obviously thinks that this qualifies as a performance video and that he has fulfilled his agreement? LOL! The only thing positive that I can say is that the beginning audio of this video featuring "Ride the Serpent" is outstanding!

Tom,
I'm sorry to hear this news as none of this OK and 4 of the 5 guitars should certainly be returned to you IMMEDIATELY! I also belive that the 92 Pear should be returned to you as well as he never appropriately promoted that guitar either! Vinnie is an artist that feels that he has been screwed by the music industry and yet I don't know how he can justify screwing others like you who have and were trying to help him. Can he really feel justified in the idea that if he has been wronged that he has a right to screw others because he feels that he has been screwed by KISS or others?

Unbelievable! The Vinnie Vincent Archiv'se were a travesty to all that purchased them in good faith but this is Cusano's biggest swindle that I'm aware of!

Vv wants them so he can hoard them and never have anyone see them again. Vv Sounds like a classical mythical character.
I say give him all he wants and let him sink in it which is ofcourse what is happening now

The guitar catalog doesn't show Vinnie at all so authenticates nothing and therefore fulfils no part of your agreement.

I agree with Kev, all five guitars should be returned to you, Vinnie has no claim on them.

V's business? What is V's business? Living at home alone? Doing nothing but hang at his PC all day? I don't think not having those guitars would interfere with that.

Since Vinnie has moved without notice to you and your contract extension has run it's course, it may be time to seek compensation for the guitars or flat out seek the return of the instruments that you funded and built.

At the 11:00 mark, this PROVES that Vinnie didn'y endorse or promote Tom Palecki and Pear at the time.

When I'm looking to this video, I personally find that Vinnie is SOOOO a nice guy and friendly to all the people there. So I don't understand the change to now. What is happened? Vinnie could be THE ex KISS killer guitarist he was but now he is a shadow and nobody knows if he could play his killer riffs today or what he is doing the whole day.
I wish I could do something for him. I want to see him playing that's my dream I have...

That’s something I keep wondering about : can a “shredder”(Vinnie is even more than that) still shred without practice ? Does he still play ? What kind of music ?
From the pictures we've discovered lately - showing the purple/grey Jacskon he sent to Tom Palecki - , we can imagine Vinnie as a handy-man / do-it-yourself man : lots of tools, material... Maybe that can keep him from being too bored...

I actually don't think vv is a handy man. He takes out pick ups and vibrato systems all the time and switches them around. I find it hard to believe he plays much. He is om computer 19 to 20 hours a day. When he was brought in as admin on my old board he was on all the time.
Personally I think he can not get any music together at moment.
That said mark nolan has gone with him to music pitching events in recent past in nashville but I suspect selling old tunes. He has some country demos none of us have heard from late 80s through to mid 90s. Kelly Prible, Andre and Robert and grover Jackson confirmed the country tunes plus an article came out a decade ago describing vv's country demos and said the reason why they never sold is they were too serious and didn't have the country humour or character.

Vv needs huge encouragement, massive support and ass kissing to do anything. Any negative comments even if true end his confidence or drive. He has said the fans have ruined his career. In a way that's true but he forgets to ask why the fans have been treated so oddly. But if you ass kiss and encourage he can get close to getting his act together. On my board I had a no negative comments policy and take it that all the rumours were bs or vv has changed at the very least and it worked he came back after 14 years of disguising himself but ofcourse that backfired big time. Even with encouragement I doubt he will ever put out new music he recently played and even old new music (new old stock album gfh). He ofcourse will announce it's coming soon and the same old people will pass their pants for a week and then forget.

If he does put out his arm to us and puts out music we will be here because above all the bullhonkey we know how good vv was and he changed our musical lives.

The reason hee hates all forums about him is he has to have full control. That's why he fakes users. He asks and answers his own questions. Anyone who either catches him out or takes even. 00001% if his control is immediately his enemy. It's so sad but if he sorted that out he would live so much easier and better.

That's the only practice his hands getting these days. The fist of Fuck'en Fury he is.
He thought if he wore the kung fu shoes we wouldn't notice he was beating like the Fist of Fury on his pee pee.
