Google isn't helping, so I was wondering how I would go about ordering a TJ Monster guitar?

Cheers,

Hey and thanks for the welcome - congratulations are a little premature but i'm pretty certain from what I've seen that TJ can hook me up. Youtube demo's? If I were to record me playing a VV guitar it would probably be apt for me to play a VVI song...give me 20 years to practise

See if you can download a program that will let you slow the music so you can pick out every note. I had one last year on my old pc but I can't remember the name of it? It worked too! Not that I used it....couldn't be bothered anymore!

I use this program, Best Practice to change the pitch of songs but you can also slow it down etc, it's great and free.

I was in your boat, as well.
After searching the web and finding this forum (and reading every frickin post) I ordered a Monster.
I ordered it last week and I'll be sure to shoot a video of it when she arrives.
The folks here seem legit and TJ Monster has a lot of info on this site.
Contact him, and he'll hook you up with what you're looking for.
Good luck!

May aswell share with you folks what i've been discussing with TJ. Whilst the neck through option is ideal and is a bargain compared to what VV wanted, It's still a fair whack for something I won't get a chance to test out or get a feel for first (like visiting a guitar shop) . I have decided that I'd like a bolt on first to give me an introduction to the monster name, and should all be good (which judging by people here it should be) then it will give me total confidence to go ahead and get the neck through....2x VVVs? Greedy I know

Cheers,

Nick

Cool Nick. The important thing with these guitars is to let us know the colour scheme. Always interesting to hear what people are going for.

Color scheme and also it's components. What style do you play ? What sounds are you going for ? ETC...

True. Bruce has always been really cool. I've met him a few times. On a Union tour, I showed up early to a show in Akron. Ohio only to see the guys in the band loading their gear into the bar. I offered them some help and they accepted. About 3 or so months later I ended up helping them out by working their Merch table at Harpo's in Detroit , Michigan. It shocked me that Bruce remembered my name.
He deserves all of the good things that happen to him.

I've met Bruce a few times over the years, as well.
He was playing with E.S.P.
What a show!!!
We hung out after the show and discussed....guitars!
The guy is super cool and doesn't have a B.S. "look at me" ego.
He's also an amazing guitar player, too.
Not as good as VV, though!!!

Bruce and vv knew each other before vv joined kiss.

I think Bruce did his best work on asylum followed by crazy nights. I think hits was the worst guitar work of all kiss records that i heard ... I didn't listen to the new one.

I've said it before, Hot on The Shade sucks.
I even hate the stupid dumb ass cover.
I gave up on them as a band totally after that, which is unfortunate because apparantly revenge is good but i won't even bother trying.
Taste's change as you get older too and as much as i love Crazy Nights when i was 18, it's just bubble gum pop dribble to my ears now.

Still got mine somewhere, should do a ritual burning and put it on youtube...hehe
can't believe i paid something like $35 Aus dollars back then..
That'd be like $100 now wouldn't it?
Dam CDs were a rip off for awhile there.

Hate Hot on The Shade..., YES stupid crap Cover Art to boot. It's not that it totally bad song writing. I just has not balls. It's boring. It's KISS playing totally safe & wanting to be Bon Jovi. But then again, KISS had a lot of identity problems. Like Crazy better than Shade. Still is ball-less.

I guess even Gene said about it was, "an A for effort but an F execution"! Something along those lines anyway! I still remember walking out into the carpark at the shopping centre I bought it at and being cheesed off that the cassette cover(!) had a chip knocked off the corner! Loved Forever and Boomerang though!

Gene went from writing the pathetic "Cadillac Dreams" to bringing the DEMON back (DUE TO Vinnie) via "Unholy".

TJ has kindly informed me that he has some materials and I have to say i'm getting excited!

I was going to get my engine rebuilt (cars - my other, much more expensive hobby), but i'm glad I'm putting it on hold so I can get my hands on one of these works of art sooner

Thanks again TJ 8)

Regarding postage, etc - Is it any cheaper to send 2 guitars in the same 'package'? Reason I ask is because QPR68 is also a Londoner, and it may benefit us all if there is a saving to be made. I haven't spoken to him yet, but I was thinking that the guitars could be sent to one of our places and the other collects.

Just a thought!

Nick

Its possible. Yeah. Also since these are bolt on guitars, I can send them without the necks attached making the box smaller. Then all you have to do is just bolt the neck on and string it up. Wolfs box was only 5 inches shorter than I am tall.
