Slaughter Dana Strum "Finding Randy Rhoads" Special Edition

80's Metal Recycle Bin

Slaughter's founding member and Bass Player, Dana Strum delivers an incredible interview. He sits down with us and for the first time on video, he tells his story of meeting Ozzy Osborne. Dana reenacts his days with Ozzy just after the superstar singer gets fired from Black Sabbath. Ozzy is on the hunt for his new "guitar player" and asks Dana to escort him all over Hollywood for several days. Watch and listen to the story unfold only here on "80's MRB".
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Great story. Love the Ozzy impersonations too. Hopefully Dana will go into some VVI and Slaughter in the follow up

True that!

Hopefully he can address the bugbear that lingers over the first VVI album?

Were the guitars tuned to F standard or were the tracks sped up?

Dana does do a pretty good Ozzy impression, you really feel like you were there, with Ozzy, LoL.....

Opening up about the VVI days would be fantastic!!!!

The tracks were not sped up. Bobby Rock and Mark Slaughter have both confirmed this. And they've both said he played that fast in rehearsals and other places.

Yes I know that even Dana (who would have the least feelings for Vinnie out of all of them) said that the tracks weren't sped up.
I'd love to know why the guitars were tuned to F Standard?
