Wonderful musician, an inspiration for so many guitar greats, and such an humble person.

Sad news indeed. I hear he was doing shows right up until the end.

I never got into him myself, but did dig that he was into Charvels in the very early days.

What he forgot, we never knew! Like Vic, I wasn't really into him. Like Zappa & Lane, their genius is without doubt...I just find it hard music to listen to.

It's an extra sad state of affairs in some repects, as he was a true "artist" and obviously put ALL his resources into his career, hence his family asking for help to fund his funeral service! To have such acclaim as he did in the guitar community but at 70 years of age and still being broke, is a sad thing.

Great technical player but not my style. Makes my ears bleed it is so busy at times.

With that said rest in peace and blessings to his family and loved ones
