Extreme?

Post by Genebaby »

Any love for Extreme, featuring the six string sting of Nuno?

I love his playing, a totally cool mix of rhythm and lead combined, sort of reminds me of how Randy played live, but Nuno does it all over the album.

Hard to pick but I think this is my favourite. If you haven't before, check out what Nuno is doing all over this track!

Of course, it may be a bit distracting in the video clip version.....

Quite talented musician. That Washburn Guitar - the high end model is a fine instrument as well if any of you have ever played one

I like his work with Extreme but I'm not a fan of his solo albums

Yeah, I've not listened to his solo work and I can imagine the N4 is a nice guitar, my kind of super strat, but have never played one.

He is super talented, the bastard, lol.

This! Not that I've played the guitar though.

Weird band for me. Brilliant playing and songwriting but for some reason, I can only listen to them for short periods at a time.

That's what they were going for I'm pretty sure, ha ha.

I may have mentioned it here somewhere before, but I did meet Nuno once.

He used to be married to the singer from Baby Animals, a band I saw many a time, and at one of their local shows I was getting autographs after and Nuno was there too. Super short he was, but very cool. I had nothing for him to sign but my concert ticket, so that had to do.

I did see Extreme on their III Sides tour, that was mega cool.

Did I do this before? lol... my memory is not so good. But I did see a link to Decadence Dance on YT and it all went from there!!!

Still no interest in the first album, maybe I should give it a listen.

Haven't seen this before...
Nuno before Extreme, and tearing it up too !
Sounds (to me) a little like early Ratt days.

Tearing it up is an understatement!!!! Good demo apart from the missing bits. Good vocals too, almost Don Dokkenish...without the cold Don always has!

Saw them live so many times including a weird gig with Alice in chains the opening band. About 40 lackluster people in audience who didn't really know who either band were . Honestly I never bought the album as I never liked them. They had no dark edge at all to their sound. Like BBQ music or something. That said like nuno's solos and that more than words solo was good from memory.

Saw them with dangerous toys and I believe la guns and Tora Tora (different gigs all before they had huge hit) .
Wasnt a fan of dangerous toys (apart from the guys hamer virtuoso) and never got into Tora Tora either but maybe didn't give them enough of a chance. La guns I liked but never blew me away live .
