King's X

Post by poserboy71 »

Doug Pinnick, Jerry Gaskill, Ty Tabor

A band of musical brothers that have stayed with each other through thick and thin. Groundbreaking and powerful. When they're at their best, no other band in their genre can compare. In fact ,you can say that they are in a league of their own.

I've never, ever listened to these guys. They are like Yes, stuff like that? That sort of music doesn't interest me. Am I missing out?

Not like YES at all.

They were the band that really started the detuning craze. Great songwriting, wonderful singing, incredible Beatle-esque harmonies, etc. They are a power trio in the truest sense. Everyone sings and plays their instrument at top level.

Go to Youtube now and type in these songs: "Goldilox", "Dogman", "for starters and then start exploring.

As for albums start with "Gretchen Goes To Nebraska" , "Faith,Hope, Love","Dogman", and "Ear Candy". Those three albums represent great sides of the band --- experimental jams, heaviness, and pop, while still maintaining the songwriting.
