Yes. They opened for vvi in Los Angeles and sold more shirts. Rumour has it that all labels wanted to sign them back in 88 / 89 as they had a huge los angeles following but they demanded one million dollars signing on fee which resulted in no deal.
Dana worked on smash crash and burn score. Kerrang also said vv was writing with them which appears to be incorrect. They said at same time vv writing with nikki sixx which also seems incorrect

Funny thing is that 3 bands that opened for vvi all havery connections to vvi members. Mark Dana and bobby asked tracii guns to join slaughterhouse while on the vvi tour. Bobby joined hardline which was brunette re named
. Dana bobby and mark worked with brunette. And bobby joined Jim Gillette of tuff in nitro.
I don't know any other bands that opened for vvi
