Yes. Getting Heavier is in my ride right now.

I love Racer X . It upsets me that they are so good that they cannot get a support slot on a tour.
It blows my mind that they never toured the States/World/ Universe.

My fave band when I was 16. I had the Paul Gilbert guitar instructional tape... didn't do me much good. Went back to playing to my Kiss records...

You and me both. I'm fast, but I'm not Paul Gilbert fast.

Poserboy, Second Heat is in my car right now.

One cannot go wrong with any of their releases.

The closest I have come to seeing Racer X was when Bruce joined Paul on the G3 Tour a few years back.
I saw Jeff Martin drum with George Lynch at a small bar in West Virginia about ten years ago and saw Scott Travis with Judas Priest over twenty years ago on the Painkiller Tour.

When speaking with Jeff years back , he said that it is entirely up to Paul when Racer X records,etc...
He said if they could tour and make more than 30 dollars a man per night... (that's what it looked like he was making with George  )

Love Pablo and Bruce! Juan is a fantabulous bass player! Scott's a great drummer (dubious personality according to some) but Jeff is replaceable to me! His voice is meh.....strong but weird!!!!!!

like Gilbert. Another guy who I would have liked to hear in Kiss.
Did you know Mark Slaughter nearly joined them before he joined VVI but Racer X decided not to hire him.

I've seen Scott three times with Priest (Demolition, reunion, and British Steel 30th anniversary tour.)
Didn't get to see any of the other guys. It's a shame. Racer X should have been HUGE!

I just got their first two albums, but I've only listened to "Sunlit Nights", "Heart of a Lion", and "Street Lethal". I like those songs, so I hope the rest are at least somewhat decent.
Eh.

Anyone know a decent way to contact Bobby Rock? I need to talk to him about an important business proposal, among other things...

"Street Lethal" is an awesome track. So is the intro track "Frenzy."
"Lady Killer" is my favorite song off of the second album.

Heavier in a different way.

You can tell that a few of those tunes are solo Paul material...

Maybe they should've called the album Acquired Taste.
I dig it !!!!

I LOVE Paul Gilbert. I met him several times during workshops and concerts, a really nice guy! also great player, of course.
I tried do do some Mr.BIG stuff in my exam concert at the music high school in weimar. maybe, should'nt have done this but got an 1,3...

what I really DON'T like, are the voices of Jeff Martin and Mark Slaughter - what the hell did they hung on his balls??? autsch!!! (like we say in germany... :o )
And on the 8th day god created rock'n roll!

Love Mark on ASG & Robert the debut albums. That scream Mark does at the end of 'That Time Of Year' always gets me. Awesome! Actually that song is total Unbridled Beauty & Perfection. Love it.
