Any opinins on James Byrd. Yngwie loves him

I´ve never heard about this guy before. I just watched his website and listened to his music on youtube. He´s playing symphonic metal and he´s also selling his own "James Byrd guitars". I can imagine that Yngwie was inspired by him but his playing is not so much my cup of tea.

I have a couple of James Byrd Albums but Yngwie has been recording longer than James Byrd. James is a strong technician but a much less accomplished composer in my opinion. Much as Wilma has stated above he was another of the Neo-Classical Fusion Clones of the 80's.
