MARK REALE R.I.P.

Post by ankh »

The leader of the group Riot, just passed away after being ina coma.He was fighting against Chron disease.Even tough his disease was cronic and often he was in pain, he nver made a fuss about it and forged on through all his career.

May he rest in peace.

Too bad, I really loved Mark Reale's work. I remember he was sick in the 80s. I thought with cancer but maybe this was the problem. RIP

used to listen to these tunes a lot

I can not believe 400k hits. Riot couldn't get 100 people into a club in 1988 when this came out

RIOT played on the 70 000 Tons of Metal 2012 cruise I just got back from.
Mark was supposed to be there, but was announced before the cruise that he was ailing. The band played their first set and let people know that he wasn't there but that he was in their hearts and with the permission of him and his father they did these gigs on the ship. Then the next day it was announced Mark died by Virgin Steel on the boat during their morning set. RIOT was scheduled to play their next set later that day and indeed did. That is where they announced the passing of Mark before their last song. It was all very emotional.
