40 years of brilliance

Post by Genebaby »

Wow, I can't believe it's 40 years since the release of the might Lick It Up album, and the band's unmasking!

This album still sounds fresh and I love the production. It's more balanced than Creatures and the guitars sound so cool.

Happy Birthday LIU!!!

Congrats Vic.
I know you love it and it's stood the test of time.

Let me know when the 40yrs come around for Hot In The Shade and I'll make a youtube reel of me taking a dump on my copy of the CD

Well, that will be in 2029, and I look forward to seeing that!

I still have my HITS vinyl that I bought upon release. An excited little KISS fan I was back then, to buy the new, new KISS album!!

Along with CONT, Best albyms KISS ever produced.
Most consistent as far as no fillers.
Gene got his nuts handed back to him and he could 'Co-Write' great songs with the VV steering KISS into a new era with an updated sound and energy. A shame after LIU, KISS lost there edge again. yer they had some good songs on the following albums up to Revenge, but there were a shit load of fillers mixed in with a tone load of Pespsi Cola anthems. Revenge saw the the singles beginning written by VV and Kane Roberts and for a glimpse if you didn't blink, Gene's ball sack was shinning like a beacon of truth again.
It was only for a moment, as Pyscho Circus came around and Gene's balls made a quick escape, existage stage right and have never been seen again. If anyone has any information of the whereabouts of Genes nuts please call 1800 - Gene - $immion$ - lost - ball- sack. This has been a public announcement.

Braking N.orth E.ast S.outh W.est. Shannon Tweed has got Gene's nuts in an undisclosed location.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Still prefer CotN.
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

Yeah, that's a bit of a lame one I think, the lyrics are too cliche and obvious.

A Million To One kicks it's ass to the other side of the universe!

A Million To One is the The Best Song on that Album, Vinnie's Guitar Work is Amazing and the Song Kicks Ass, it really should have been released as a Single !

One of the best Paul ballad type songs, but also heavy!!! Tears Are Falling was great, nice job there Paul, but then he writes Everytime I Look At You? Let's not even talk about I Finally Found My Way. Poor Peter, having to sing that absolute trash song.
